Stop requiring pvp for the seasonal catalyst
I -blam!- I N G HATE PVP in this game. I HATE IT. It is not fun and there’s no way to improve when every match is against sweaty -blam!- that never let you get a shot off. And that’s all that’s left playing pvp, sweaty -blam!-.
But I want to use ticuu’s divination and lorenz driver at their full power in PVE…P V E…but in order to do that, I have to put myself through the hell of trying and failing for days to get 50 kills with the weapon in pvp…stop making us play that bullshit game mode.
I’ve gotten to the point that I just don’t want to play destiny at all. When I’m trying to use a good weapon but the whole time I’m thinking “this thing could be so much better” and then I just put the game down because I don’t feel like spending the next several days being angry. Make the pvp optional.
Edit: I got the pvp part of both of the catalyst quests done, the ticuu’s obviously didn’t get the benefit of the catalyst boost, but I still did it…and I hated every second of it…so yeah I still think it should be optional.

1 返信At Season Pass Rank 22, you get a 4x catalyst boost and you only need 13 kills. Suck it up and just get it done. People spend so much time whining on the forum about the PvP step for the catalyst, and in that time, they could have the catalyst completed by now.

2 通の返信Level up your season pass to 20+ then it’s only 14 kills. Do them in momentum control or gambit for an easier time

I've finished the entire catalyst quest. (aside from activity completions obviously. WITHOUT the seasonal progression bonus. suck it up bro)

2 通の返信Us PvP Players have been forced to play Nightfalls (Palindrome and MindBenders), Reckoning/Gambit (Spare Rations), Menagerie (Beloved and Austringer), and Raids (Praedyth’s Revenge and Found Verdict) for guns that are PRIMARILY PVP WEAPONS!!!!!!! You will be fine!

For Lorentz Driver catalyst you need to kill 50 Guardians twice. Oh joy. I'm down to my last 20 to kill and have done it in Gambit. Not fun at all and a complete drag, but what do I know. Press on with Ticuu's, it's worth it. Good luck M8.

I absolutely agree with you that it's terrible that we sre froced to play pvp for the cataslyst. Which is why i don't have anynof them for the seasonal exotic snd i haven't played pvp for years. This time i put on my ' big boy pants' as my friends like to call it , and finished the pvp part in 4 ( or 5 games ) the keys Re your season pass and momentel control. Your season pass increases your catalyst up to 4 times. And with control you get extra points when points when you kill enemies while more then one poiny is capped. I suck at pvp so it can probably done a lot quicker, if your any good.

3 通の返信Here’s some help from another non-PvPer. Play Momentum Control. Kills are easier. Bounties are quicker. Rankups, Completed Games go by faster. It has No Radar, so it makes it harder for them to find you but it does encourage a lot of camping. Watch out for campers at Zones and Heavy Ammo. And Mayhem is coming back, look for it. That mode will drive your progress super fast.

I agree with you, there should always be options for us to tackle quests. With that said, if you go into momentum it only took me 2 or 3 matches, stay back behind your team and get the guy that gets your team mates. I know some dont like this type of playstyle but at least you'll get it done and never have to into pvp again.

When I go into PvP to do a catalyst I just run at the first guy I see and try to exchange a kill. I do that over and over until I get my catalyst completed. I won't even capture a point if I am one step away from it. In fact, I like dying because it gets me special ammo back. People that actually like PvP and want to win matches should be in favor of me not being on their team tanking the match to get my catalyst done lol.

1 返信Bungie is desperate to fill pvp in any way they can. Its population in ALL playlists is abysmal. It’s one of the reasons for the trials revamp, is because of it unpopularity and low population. I’m not going to bother with trials.

I can sympathize and empathize with this sentiment. PVP should be optional but it will never be optional. As long as there are sweat stained players who wrap their entire identity in being able to "master" PVP and they don't fix matchmaking they have to entice others to play with their sweat stained customer base. This is why they won't change to SBMM. If they did, all the PVP sweats would have to play other sweats consistently and complain that they can't go flawless or they can't improve their k/d or dare I say...complete their catalyst quests. Basically, people like you and me are needed to be PVP sweat fodder for their ego's. It's not fun, pretty or useful...it just is.

2 通の返信Completely agree. I enjoy pvp, for the most part. But forcing people to play it is absurd. Especially now when the damn game freezes after every match. What's that, joined a game in progress and you're losing 75-15? Well heres your mercy, and also, reset your entire game because it just froze.

4 通の返信I find more annoying to grind 200 points to get the cataclism, 50 kills in pvp is really easy, if you are not so good on it, maybe in 10 - 15 matches you will get it, not very long, as you as you need to grind points to get the cataclism you need to play it anyway. And it forces you to play with a weapon, so you can also improve your skills & accurate & getting les annoying the next time that you play pvp.

Takes 2 games when you are rank 22 on your season pass. Youll be fine. Doing the 50kills with the 4x modifier would have been faster than complaining here. (Also i truly hate playing strikes but bungie forces me to play the gaaaaame thats a shame)

1 返信Im current season of the weapon, its only 13 kills with seasons lvl 22. If you can’t finish this you need to find a new game 🤷🏿♂️

There are plenty of players who hate pve and have to raid to get good guns for pvp it’s how a hybrid game works. You need like 50 kills I think which is only 13 with the boosts. That’s nothing
