From a PvP standpoint, it makes sense to me. I don't play enough PvE to care, but if you want literally double the easy-mode-ammo off of pickups, you should have to sacrifice to get it.

thats why special ammo in pvp should be a finite amount you start with and you have to determine when you want to use that resource during the length of the match. Special ammo shouldnt even drop. problem solved and it wouldnt affect the mod system in such a way that hurt pve play.

I disagree. That's a pretty enormous rework, and has holes in it. Start every match with special, burn it winning first few rounds, switch to double primary. If that's not the case, special users get hard punished for running out of ammo and get stuck having one gun for the rest of the match. It'd be interesting as maybe a rotator game mode, but wouldn't be overall good for Destiny's flow.

It does and I’ll balance it out on my gear builds, it gives me something to grind for this season looking for pieces for different builds. Easy to do since I like stasis for PvE, but I run Spectral or Gunslinger in PvP so it’ll take a bit more to build around stat wise to get the numbers I like.
