Gls in pvp
Bungie says after shotguns nerf ( they destroyed them) they noticed a slight raise of gl usage in pvp.
In every match I played there was 2 or 3 guys holding a gl. Witherhoard is the most common.
Now what do Bungie mean by slightly? Not everyone?

6 通の返信This is funny. A shotgun ape complaining about people using a weapon he does not like. Calling it a “no skill” weapon when shotguns have been labeled that since D2 came out.

lol, you think what they did to shotguns destroyed them? get bent, shotguns have been dominant since rise of iron and maybe somewhat before, shotguns need more counters in my opinion but hey "shotguns take skill" said no one lol

michaelにより編集済み: 8/24/2021 8:05:35 AMThe problem with monitoring GL usage is that you dont actually get GL kills very often. 90% of your kills with GLs are due to the GL doing 100 or so damage, and the primary finishing off the kill. Its like if sniper rifles only did bodyshot damage. Because of this I feel like usage is way higher than any data can show, you only really know by playing

2 通の返信I use a GL in pvp on my Striker. Its hilarious, the kills are so free. But its a different free than shotgunning, which is still very much alive. They dont succeed as often and look really dumb when they hard commit to a rush even moreso now, but it def still happens. But I dont think theyll stay that present. Pvp population is bare minimum at end of season, its just people doing whatever. The playlists will be back to their usual assortment of bullshit next week.

8 通の返信I never understood why players are using witherhoard honestly. Everytime we see one, we are always 100% sure its a poo poo player (and we are alwayw right) I mean...to counter this gun you litteraly have to not stand still

People need to use something, and whether it is fusion rifles, gernade launchers, snipers, etc, always SOMETHING has the most usage. Gernade Launchers are far harder to kill people with, and you don't slide into them and one shot them nonstop. SOMETHING has to be meta. If this was snipers, then someone else would be "tHeRe iS ToO mUcH sNiPiNg iN PvP" Felwinter's Lie is STILL the most used weapon in all of crucible at 4.29% of kills Then Ace of Spades, and surprise, Chaprone is the 3rd most used weapon in all of PVP So I would say looking at the real statics and numbers, literally GLs are a SLIGHT increase post nerf. Stats over your personal experience of noticing when people have a gernade launcher.

They probably looked at their data and quite literally noticed a small rise in gl numbers meaning while there might have been one witherhoard every 3 matches or so now it’s now ever two matches. Ps I still see shotguns like crazy and I doubt the special ammo nerf will actually do anything.

1 返信It’s only a problem because the mode is control. It’s like anarchy in pve, shot and run off , the gun does the work for you

2 通の返信Shotguns still feel good and ohks are still a thing. I'd say the difference between the shotgun meta and the possible GL meta is the skill gap between a good gl user and an average player. I'd even go so far as to say it's a similar skill gap to snipers, since not everyone can use them at their full potential.

1 返信Shotguns are still fine. After the nerf you can see more people with GLs or Fusions, but Shotguns are still dominant, both Slugs and Pellets. GLs are simply stupid. Basically free kills in the most absurd situations. Some Fusions have crazy range and make them frustrating to deal with. Maybe after the Slide nerf Shotgun will diminuish a little bit, but who knows.
