Actually it's the best legendary fusion for pve right now. The only down side is the poor perk pool.
I've done lots of testing and coriolis force + liquid coils is the 2nd highest dps fusion and the 2nd highest total damage fusion. It ties plug 1 with reservoir burst for burst damage. The only fusion that beats it dps wise is merciless at 31k while coriolis + liquid =30k and 1k voices is the only fusion to beat its total damage.
Interesting note, it's the only fusion that does better with liquid coils when it comes to dps. Also the only stats that matters is range and aim assist.

Correoils Force is actually one of the very worst Fusions all things considered. It was rated a C tier in a fusion ranking recently. I like it, but it is pretty weak.

Dont get me wrong rapid fires are great for dps but coriolis is better since its bolts deal 15-20% more and there is only like. 0.2 difference in charge time. It has better range /damage falloff and doesn't rely on stability perks to hit targets at range so you can focus 100% on range.

I enjoy it sometimes but never tried it on DPS. Makes sense tho but seems to be better options.

I'd say the main perk you should look for is liquid coils, since this is the only fusion that does better dps with liquid coils. Coriolis + accelerater coils = 28k dps Coriolis + liquid coils = 30k dps Coriolis by itself = 29k dps

It's true, it deals some of the highest damage and has the one of the lower charge times. I mean it has deals the damage of a high impact fusion but has the charge time of an adaptive frame. With liquid coils it has a dps of 30k which makes it the best legendary dps fusion

You obviously did read my full post were I break it down. So I'll sum it up for you. Coriolis has the impact of a high impact frame and the charge time of an adaptive frame. High rate of fire + high damage = dps monster. With liquid coils your looking at 30k dps. For comparison merciless has a dps of 31k

Null Composure fires miles faster and does basically the same damage once HIR is active. It’s not even close in damage, that’s why loads of people use it for boss damage now. Throw in that Coriolis Force has an absolutely hideous spread, it’s extremely unlikely you’re landing all the strands unless the boss is extremely wide or you’re standing right on top of a boss. Upload the footage of you doing mad burst damage to Atheon with it and I’ll admit I’m wrong, otherwise you’re talking shit and Null Composure or any non aggressive frame FR that can roll Vorpal will completely out damage it.

Atheon isn’t the only boss in the game. Coriolis isn’t the best fusion right now, but that’s because it’s rolls are so bad. 30K with no perks Vs 29K with perks. Atheon is weird because despite being one of the largest bosses in the game, you have to stand at good range and DPS while he moves. His box is very forgiving vertically, so regular fusions have the upper hand. Rapid Fire fusions need perks to reach the same optimal DPS. They’re good in different situations, I’d never take Coriolis vs Atheon, but maybe in a legend lost sector or something similar.

No but he’s the most relevant boss in the game right now. Obviously a rapid fire needs perks to hit better damage but that’s true with all rapid fire weapons - rapid fire snipers also out perform all other archetypes for DPS for the same reason. Coriolis Force’s perk pool isn’t going to be updated and even if it was given amazing perks, it’d still be absolutely dreadful because of its horizontal volley. It’s designed to be used at super close range and fusions are pretty bad at super close range, regardless of their damage and perk pool - that’s becomes even more true in higher difficulty content. As for a legendary lost sector, you could use a stick and still be effective. The only bosses in the game I could see Coriolis Force being effective against in terms of damage are the Warden Servitor and Devil Servitor, purely because they’re so wide - next season will be the perfect opportunity to test that I’d imagine but again, we’re talking about bosses with enormous crit spots so there would be no reason to use any FR for damage. I’ll also add that ALL FRs with the exception of 1K, are only viable for DPS right now because of B&C. Next season it’s likely that Divinity is going to be required for most damage phases again and if that ends up being the case any sniper or slug shotgun is going to outperform any fusion rifle for DPS anyway. Honestly, it’s admirable that you can find some positives with the weapon but for me and most players, it was just a failed experiment by Bungie and I’d be amazed if we ever see another high impact, horizontal spread FR again…

I've done plenty of test with rapid fires and they are good but coriolis is better. Hir is great but only buffs the last 3 rounds and at that it's a 10% buff and the last 2 are 15%. Coriolis intrinsically something like 15-20% more per shot. Rapid fires have a faster rate of fire but not by much, your talking about a difference of 0.2- 0.3 seconds. The spread it odd to get used to but it's not horrible. At 20 meters you can still land all 7 bolts on a mid sized target like a large blocker.
