Nerfing sliding, and insta swapping, will [b]GUT[/b] any scrap of skill gap this game has. Attacking movement and button combos that anyone can do to become more skilled, is just shrinking the skill ceiling even more.
All of you saying that animation canceling is an exploit, I guess if you cancel the useless frames of reload animation by swapping weapons as soon as the mag fills, sorry, you’re abusing an unintended exploit. GG
Good riddance to this game, where the devs think grenade launchers are “[i]skillshot[/i]” weapons, and nerf MOVEMENT, and button combos, all to appease the casuals with no desire to actually learn how to improve.

2 通の返信I’m a lil confused Help me out here for context Define skill gap for me and then your interpretation of what that looks like. So in my eyes those were legit tactics that people used to get an advantage on someone else IE someone who isn’t as mobile with their guardian. Thus the skill gap would be in our different types of engagement method. Should you slide every encounter no! If it’s done right should you reap the reward of course! Now that being said it’s not entirely hard for someone to watch a video and begin doing isaid skills of course but then snowballs later we have a slide nerf! My point it doesn’t matter what you do to gain an advantage someone will always be upset and decide it’s unfair. (Insert “YoU USe NeWb tOoB” insult here) complaining is as much a part of the game now as shooting your gun.

2 通の返信Sliding isn’t a skill gap and neither is breaking the handling stat using button combinations. The latter of which is often down using macros for highest efficiency.

1 返信In my opinion they didn't need/ shouldn't have nerfed sliding but I do think it is better for the game that they removed quick swapping.

1 返信This community is full of players from 10 year olds to middle aged players with arthritis in their hands like me. You guys cried when SBMM was in place cuz the game was too sweaty. You guys cried when the game had actual crowd control to combat twitch based movement play style. Now you’re crying cuz the game is going to balance movement with tactics. Where’s the skill gap?

18 通の返信Sliding isn't a skill. Button combos like shatterdive arent skill. Intuition is as skill, and movement will still be the main skill gap factor regardless.

8 通の返信Quickswap glitch was literally an exploit. It stopped the need for quickdraw. But I guess I'm a dad, casual gamer.

27 通の返信Quick swapping is an exploit, if you didn't think it would be patched, then I don't know what to tell you. And considering how many people on PC simply use a macro to do it, I'm not sure your argument that it's skillful is a good one. As for the slide nert, I don't understand your argument either, since it actually increases the skill gap. You'll still be able to slide and shoot, but now you'll actually have to have good aim (and probably an unflinching mod or two) to be successful at it. Now, if once we actually get to try out the changes we find our weapons pointing toward the ceiling every time we slide, then you may have a point. Short of that, guess we'll just have to either git gud or stop sliding so much.

Yepp. And the sad part is they clearly cater to the lower skilled players by doing these things yet people on here will look at it and say “wtf why doesn’t bungie only think about streamers and the top players???”

I do not think people know what “skill” means. Skill is the person, the trade/tools are what they work with. Skill separation is how good a person is with said trade/tools vs others. How you assist to close the skill gaps is by adding more pieces to the puzzle
