Would be nice to get the following QoL changes to the Postmaster.
1. Push items out of the Postmaster based on rarity. Example: blue gear gets pushed out before legendary gear.
2. Gear pushed out of the Postmaster is dismantled instead of the items just vanishing into thin air. This lets players at least get the materials from the items.
3. If an item cannot be put into the Vault, then it should never be pushed out. EDIT: Dont really need this option with #1.
EDIT: It never ceases to amaze me that there are ALWAYS people who are against QoL changes, especially ones that have zero impact on player interactions. The changes I mention do not eliminate the need to manage your postmaster, it just makes it so you don't have to keep interrupting your game time to do so if you do not want to. Items would still get pushed out and "lost". You could still lose important stuff depending on whats all there. its not like you would be guaranteed not to lose things you don't want to lose.

All the people refuting this or any simple QoL change are all under the mindset “it’s fine for me, why should I care about others?” Not everyone wants to spare 2 minutes when they have an entire life and just want to play the actual game. People with jobs and life already have plenty of micromanaging to do without needing in a video game as well.

2 通の返信Or don’t use your post master as extra storage. 500 spaces in the vault and you’re still clinging to gear that’s three years old and never sees any use. It’s pathetic. If you lose golf balls from your postmaster it’s on you, no one else. Doesn’t need a (everyone’s new favourite phrase when they want something) QoL change - it just requires you to check it once in a while…

9 通の返信Great ideas!! One thing tho, blues should never go to postmaster!! And for all of you saying to just manage the postmaster, etc. Get over yourselves!!! I have limited time to play. I work 2 jobs, support 5 kids and myself and my wife. When I do get to play, I dont wanna be in the tower "managing" the postmaster. I want to play!! These changes would not effect those of you who do have time for that. Not everyone can play 8-10 hours a day!!

While I do agree with the whole "manage your inventory" argument, I also agree with QoL implementations and there could def be some improvements where the postmaster is concerned. Having said that, while I agree with you, it is also the exact reason it'll never happen. For that, you only have to look at the single biggest attribute of the game: Grind IOW, you lose something from the post master, you'll just have to play more for the chance to reacquire it.

5 通の返信I agree with a QoL update. It’s needed for the Postmaster and our Vault. For those who don’t think it’s needed, move on. This topic isn’t for you. Quit telling others how to manage their weapons, mats etc. You play your way, others will play theirs.

1 返信An option to enable auto-dismantle ble gear would solve ~90% of complaints regarding postmaster filling up.

I rather them let us lock some items in the postmaster. Sometimes you can’t help but have to leave them in the postmaster. For example. I have to wait for xur and collect enough glimmers to buy stuff from the archives.

Sundownにより編集済み: 8/13/2021 3:18:58 AMIt really should prioritize pushing out blues first. It's miserable trying to play literally any amount of crucible and having your postmaster go from 1-2 items to 15+ of just blues in three-four matches. I don't want to have to run to the HELM/Tower to dump blues out of my postmaster, it makes no sense. Also: needing to use third-party apps to make storage manageable isn't an excuse for this issue either. No game should require you to use third-party features to have a good experience.

While your suggestions seek to help players and would be a welcome change, I see this as a band-aid fix rather than a long term solution. What is the root cause(s) of this problem? I see 3 issues: 1. The consumables system currently places an incentive on keeping materials stacked in the Postmaster to have more. 2. Blue gear drops at an incredibly high rate when playing core playlist activities. 3. The collection system doesn't allow the ability to re-acquire weapons and armor, causing many players to hold onto much more than they need. So what is the solution? Here is my proposal: 1a. Remove the ability for consumables to be stored in the Postmaster (ie Ascendant Shards, Enhancement Prisms, Upgrade Modules, and Spoils of Conquest). While doing this, increase the stack size to be in line with current max limits while all postmasters are full (40, 200, 100, 960 respectively). 1b. Change most consumable resources to be more similar to Glimmer and Legendary Shards, not requiring physical inventory space resulting in less items going to the Postmaster. 2a. Incorporate an option to auto-dismantle blue items once they reach the Powerful Cap. If it is too technically difficult to incorporate this as an option, implement auto-dismantle for all players once they hit the Pinnacle Cap in a given season. 2b. In general, have less Blue items drop as rewards from core playlist activities. Instead of giving out 2-3 blue items per strike or crucible match, give out 1 legendary item with it having a chance of being strike/crucible specific loot. 3a. Allow all items to be able to be pulled from collections with a base stat/perk roll at a minimum. 3b. Allow perk combinations to be saved in Collections, for example, if I have an Outlaw/Rampage Duke Mk. 44 Hand Cannon that I want to keep, allow me to save that roll in Collections. This allows me to dismantle the weapon and reclaim it later if I want to have fun with it in low level content. This would reduce much of the junk people keep in their Vaults, meaning less items people hold in their inventory, meaning less items that get pushed in and out of the Postmaster. This is probably the most technically challenging part, so I understand if this specifically couldn't be done. Again, I think you are thinking about a real problem that needs to be addressed, but I don't like band-aid fixes to problems, similar to why I don't think adding Vault Space is a good idea.

3 通の返信NO!!! Manage your inventory. The postmaster is NOT a second vault. We need new content not QoL updates for the lazy!!!

Some agency would be nice, but in the meantime I’d like to suggest using a third party app. You can pull from postmaster to the character you’re playing with. So all those trash blues can be dismantled instead of sitting in your postmaster.

2 通の返信Don't use the postmaster as storage. Use materials so you can pick up what's there. Everything in D2 is an infinite resource. There is no reason to hold onto it that long.
