I just want to say that this is the most sloppy cut scene in bungie history.
Just Mithrax and Saint holding things down. No barrier shield, No Cover, Just holding it down, protecting the unarmed Eliksni/smoling behind them.... with a about 30 Vex/Minitours in front of them... Vex missing every single shot.
The Vex missed literally every shot while both of them look off the action to have dialogue.
This could have been solved by having the Eliksni retreat to a covered abandoned structure with Mithrax's and Saint alternating cover to shoot (keeping the vex at bay). The intensity of the pressing Vex as well as the approaching distress would have been more powerful. Ikora's nova bomb would have been more impactful and the rear support from Zavala and Amanda would have been icing on the cake.
Please Bungie, the gameplay, lore and content is to good to float Saturday morning cartoon fluff to end the season.
I know you can do better and as a company, Please do better.

It looked as if everything was in slow motion. They just stood there shooting their guns every 10 seconds while vex missed all their shots point blank. Not to mention, that punch was horrendous looking. Ikora dropping a nova bomb on their heads honestly made me laugh. It would have been better if Saint was using his bubble to protect the eliksni.

1 返信it would've been funny if he used bubble and accidentally blinded the fallen because of his helmet

3 通の返信Not to mention…. The nova bomb hits Saint-14 and Mithrax. How they don’t die I don’t understand. IMAGINE the twist on the story if they BOTH died. Something happens and then maybe a corrupted Osiris kills Saint and Mithrax. It would’ve made such a crazy twist, it would’ve made up for the whole lack of content, terrible (IMO) seasonal activity, etc. Would’ve made the season incredibly memorable. Everyone would remember the one cutscene that made the season…

23 通の返信Yeah this was a kick in the Crown Jewels .. Jinx so far - Botza district is not exactly „in the city“ we had an entire Fallen Raid there , this area was Fallen Territory .. - ikora had already build a vex portal, a giant ass effort and with months to build .. where Lakshmi would have pulled such a portal unseen, unnoticed under the observation of the vanguard is beyond me - a fistful of vex are not a threat . - Elixni did not fight alongside humans .. Mithrax did with Saint.. - that novabomb would have killed all Fallen .. - the vex are basically the stormtroopers of Destiny , missing every shot on not moving targets at close range - Amanda ? You missed to give the Crow / Holiday faction a glint .. - where is shax ? - drifter ? - Hawthorne? - if the vex are only in Botza, going there is the only duty , saint can’t „protect his people“ elsewhere the whole lines between mithrax and saint are nonsense All in all easily the worst „epilogue“ with close to no effort put into it, both cinematically and logically .. at no time was there any urgency or danger .. This is shameful as a finisher .. Not being send to search for Osiris, no follow up dialogue for at least the participating few .. This is bag Storytelling IF that can count as such ..

4 通の返信The most unrealistic part was when Ikora didn’t die from throwing her own nova bomb into a door frame.

1 返信What world do you live in? We have been watching years of regression. Some people are in such denial but going from forsaken to something like shadowkeep would give anyone whiplash

9 通の返信I saw the cimematics. It wouldn't even pass as a commercial or advertisement on TV. It was so comical I thought it was a lame ad for a breakfast drink, or oatmeal, or something. Especially when Ikora showed up and winked, while being shot at. Lmao! I think the main story guy Joe Staten is no longer with them and to what I've read here has been replaced by some star wars guy?
-
But I don't think they can do better, I personally think everyone that works there is learning how to do things while working there, instead of already knowing how to do said things before being hired. That's the only explanation for this thing they call a story...

8 通の返信Lol, been waiting all these weeks for something so lackluster. This was straight up a failure. So anitclimatic

1 返信What I don't understand is Ikora shows up late with a Nova Bomb and a short while later pops off a Nova Warp but Saint 14 couldn't muster up a single bubble to protect the Eliksni?

6 通の返信Agreed but it’s literally one cutscene. I’m all for hating on Bungie, but these forums will snap at anything way more than they need to.

17 通の返信This is the end result of partnering with NetEase and giving them a percentage of your company shares. Bungie developers no longer work on Destiny 2, they are all hard at work developing NetEase's new IP. This cutscene, and all the mediocre seasonal activities are most likely the work of 4-5 employee's that are working as a skeleton crew to keep this game running. Bungie, this is not good enough. With the gaming industry on the verge of collapsing, and players finally speaking out and protesting against bad game design and bad company practices, it's time to sit down and decide what you want to do. Let the game run into the ground and milk the playerbase, or step up and actually make this game worth the $$$ that players invest into it.

1 返信Destiny community we like factions can we have them back. Bungie oh what’s that you like the factions, sure thing we’ll just delete them from the game

Not only that but 2 huge wasted oportunities: 1) Saint could have shielded the Eliksni in his bubble. Representing a complete 180° from the time he would cast it upon the eliksni to kill them, to the moment the bubble represents Saint itself defending the people he used to hate. 2) No crow? Like at all. Even the freaking mechanic was there. Why not Crow?

While I dug the writing, the animation could've been better. I didn't understand why saint didn't pop a bubble. Guess he didn't have to the way the vex were missing every shot lol. If only that were the case in game. Also, not seeing fwc lady get killed was disappointing. Yea we heard it, but the way she acted all season, we should've been able to see her plan go to shit. Best thing about the scene was osiris. Cool way to confirm what was speculated all season. I hope the first thing we see to start the new season is a flashback of savathun capturing and then becoming osiris, then her revealing herself to the vanguard in the tower.

And Ikora so OP she's not even using a gun. Just endless supers! This is probably why she's the best of all of us in Crucible, no? What a cheater. She must be playing on PC to have a hack this good! And Amanda's Chaperone shotty could one shot a Minataur! Don't Minataurs have a shield or something? And the range on Saint's Paradox shotty! These guys must be playing on PC huh? I mean my sunset weapons are shooting pellets now! Do you know why Saint didn't drop a bubble? Eliksni group just standing there like target practice in a carnival gallery and nobody was even hit by a single round. So why bother with a bubble! That's why Saint was laughing all the way to the end! Lmfao!!! It's a -blam-ing comedy!!!
