Well of radiance, shadebinder, and Nova warp changes

So I just want to know wtf you guys where thinking when you decided to that Nova warp, which is almost exclusively a pvp super, needs a buff in pve when Nova bomb( both trees) literally run circles around it....pvp is where this subclass needed love and you just said -blam!- pvp let it be trash. As for well of radiance, it was already stupid easy for you to get just absolutely obliterated in a well of radiance even with high resilience, now you've just made it easier for this to be a thing. Because of this I'm sure more people will be reluctant to want to run well in GM's and in master vog. As for the pvp aspect of it. Why? Just why? You did nothing to address the fact that it's easy to walk up in and just nuke someone who's in a well in pvp. If you were going to try to push it you should have implemented a change where enemy guardians face some kind of penalty for entering well. Now...last but not least....shadebinder....you literally just turned it into Nova warp with that change of it now requiring multiple hits to kill another super....with a super that has no freaking mobility to be able to counter this. Winters wrath with be useless in pvp. At least with Nova warp blink allows for maneuverability so that it's possible to combat other supers. Come on man. Why is warlock supers outside of nova bomb are the only ones that require a multi hit to kill, super to super... That's so stupid....

    I...think you misunderstood the well nerf. The SWORD is going to take more or less damage based on resilience, NOT your character. It literally says that it means it the same way they meant bubble. They want bosses with quake to be able to destroy the sword so that you can't just stand at it's feet in raids and stuff just ignoring their damage. And you'd be a fool to think needing 2 shatters from shadebinder is bad. You quite literally couldn't fight it in it's current form unless you outmaneuvered them...somehow. You are still going to be able to just smash the two buttons back and forth and wipe supers, you just gotta do it twice now. And just so you understand, there isn't any freezing resistance after being shattered, so as long as you just instantly shoot them again they will be powerless.

  • All they did to well was make it no different than the regular rift. It litteraly was my new pvp support build with lumina. Its almost like they are destroying builds before they ever become a thing.

Nova Bomb shines more in PvP than PvE unless you really want the burst damage.

      As a Warlock main who uses all three of these pretty frequently: -Nova Warp is being buffed in PvE because it is bad in PvE, how is that a difficult concept to understand?????? -Some Nova Warp buffs appear to be universal, so it is getting a bit of a PvP buff -Well of Radiance will still most likely be one of the best supers for endgame content, people might just need to pay a little more attention to Resilience and/or literally just put the Well somewhere that enemies won’t be able to destroy it as easily since the nerf is applied to the Well and not to the actual players. -The PvP changes are literally to make it more viable in PvP, since nobody is going to be shooting the Well when you have at least one buffed person in the Well shooting back -Shadebinder is dummy strong, and it will still be dummy strong when it can’t kill supers in one shatter

      Shadebinder needs 2 shatter pulses to kill MELEE roaming supers. As long as you’re keeping your distance from them it should be pretty easy to kill them, just not as easy as before. Supers like Hammers, Dawnblade, pretty much all one and done supers will still die in with one freeze/shatter. Also most super require multiple hits to kill. Spectral, Sentinel, Top tree GG, Hammers (maybe not burning Maul), bottom tree Striker all require 2 or more hits to kill. The ones that can ohk, usually have a prerequisite to do so such as Arcstrider’s palm combo, or immediate deflect into light attack, top tree striker doing FoH from a certain height, bottom tree Golden gun hitting a precision shot

          • You probably are a newish player that didn’t use Nova Warp when it was first release but it was absolutely disgusting in PvE. Was what I used in Gambit in which you could clear two whole waves by yourself

            • It might be hard for you to understand this, but Nova Warp was really good in PvE back in Forsaken. The nerfs however, killed it in both arenas.

              I rarely comment but your post is really over exaggerated over some good changes. 1. Well will still be one of the strongest lock super in pve. The change only applies to bosses along with the fact that they have to hit the sword to break it(which they won't unless some splash damagehits it). In pvp they gave it more damage resistance along with the fact you can't be frozen, but let's be real well will never be all that good in the crucible. 2.The nova warp changes are fantastic for pve. The grenade getting buffed against high health targets is great along with the super damage also getting buffed. Pve is basically getting forsaken warp back. In pvp warp is going to be wild imo. The slow while charging being removed will help lock down those kill more reliably and you get an explosion when you pop is a great panic option killing anyone near you. 3. Shadebinder taking two shatters to kill a roaming super (not including golden gun) is still going to be really easy since other super takes 3 light attacks to kill you. Not to mention that you can float and still freeze them they would have to be really close or you miss auto adjusting projectile. In pve still going to be the best ad control class. None of my points probably wouldn't matter to you but hey I tried.
