"...should just be free...'
Not reading anyone's mind.
This post leans more toward the entitled part but it's all the same.
Again, been here long enough to see the changing trends of the newer players.
It's fine to disagree as long as you see and understand what the other side is really saying.

Making a strawman to burn isn’t understanding. Saying the feature of transmog should be free is just a judgement of quality based on the market value of the feature. I think it should be free, I’ve been playing for years.
Strawman is also a saying for the millennials who don't understand inferrence gained from experience.
That's why they blame others for their own shortcomings.
It's a weak argument for people with weak minds. Don't be that and don't give into it.
If you had any understanding about how people think and speak, you know simply that starting this conversation out with “it should be free" is the tell to where this person is really coming from.
The rest of the grind talk is just filler.
This game has always had grind for most of its content.
It's far less than many games out there yet people still complain. It's mainly the more shooter oriented players who can't handle the grind and their paid entry into the game gives then the right to the content.
You've been here a long time and I do respect your position. It's just a little baffling to me exactly why your not seeing things the way they are.

Strawman is a description of the argument you’re presenting in your response. It’s not replying to what they actually said, but what you have created as their meaning. Add to that the mind reading fallacy and false equivalency it just adds up to a complete lack of conversation relating to the topic.
I agree with the OP that transmog should be free to players and interact with armor earned in the past by that player. My opinion is formed by the market value of that feature in other games, and the value I place on earning rewards mattering.
I’m too unimpressed by the re-issuing of literally the same weapons after sunsetting. I don’t think that is a good direction for rewards in the game.
I don’t think that grinding old content to access the limited amount of “new” end game content is valuable to players. Completing bounties or activities for gear to level the character AND XP to level the artifact to be high enough light isn’t a new, interesting, or value additional experience for players. It’s just a time investment. That isn’t a good game design to my mind.
Nothing about those opinions do I disagree with, and none of it is asking for rewards without earning them. Really it has more to do with the effort and time previously invested being valuable, and wanting to see new content created for purchase.
