I'll break it down for you: The OP says there is a problem with bots or AFK players in strikes, which is detrimental to the Strike playlist experience for the other players in the fireteam. Some players simply like playing strikes, and having an AFK player is not good for their experience as it means there is one less person playing the strike. This doesn't make the strike impossible by any means, but it does mean needing to work a little harder when most players in this category like casually playing Strikes with others. I personally like running ahead to speedrun strikes because I don't like wasting my time, but I understand why this can be detrimental for the game overall. Understand? Although with that said, farming is still a very viable option currently. Royal Entry Rocket Launcher and Empty Vessel Grenade Launcher are both very good PVE weapons. I have farmed a number of strikes over the past couple seasons to get good rolls of these weapons which are top tier in endgame PVE activities. On top of that, next season, farming Strikes is going to be a lot more viable as an option for leveling up as it is going to adopt a Reputation system similar to Crucible and Gambit. Players may be testing bots to go AFK in strikes to get free reputation which can be used as a way to level up. This is a problem for both players that want to farm strikes and those that want to play strikes for fun. Is there anything you would like to correct?

They're adding strike streak bonuses next season, and I know for a fact that PvP players who cheat test their cheats in normal PvP before the use them in trials, same mentality may be at play here.

I'm asking the question, to see if anyone else has seem similar things. As it's the first time I've seen it on Xbox, there's lots of MnK players so it's highly possible

As well it ain't an effective farm if you are worried, nightfall reward exotics faster, give exclusive drops, chest has same items

People have been afk farming gambit on pc since release dude, still do it today. And he ran lots of things, same stats, clearly testing out his methods

Look at the drops from strikes, common sense says the guy is doing it for 3 strikes bc guess what the drop pool isn't that good. What you get umbrels, random legendary drops rarely, plus blues and like 4k glimmer? Aint a reason for a bot

Next season you get vanguard rep, exotics, ascendent shards, and they're adding new loot. He did it in prophecy where you get 0 loot at all when afk, so I'd guess he's practicing his art The guy wasnt a person, regardless of his motives. No one plays like that, he 100% played like a bot.

If he did it in prophecy group had an option to either 1. Kick 2. Leave 3. Carry on You said strikes, gambit now prophecy Kinda calling bs as they need to add the person for prophecy it doesn't just join on you.

Check my history on titan , check Disgraced strike last night, guy who finished last, check his profile, man character, history. He did patrol, strikes, nightfall, gambit, prophecy, patrol again. Check his figures, never used super, never used grenade, never used melee, only things he got kills in where things like hollowed lair where you're surrounded by enemies so his pattern of reload, shoot, shoot, walk forward, reload, walk backwards, repeat, will get you kills even if you're blind. In the disgraced he did that manoeuvre in spawn, so we left him, dragged him forward to the 3 checkpoints, watched him doing the same over and over, even after the boss was dead until the timer ran out. A very simple macro of fire,fire, reload, walk, repeat. He had 0 kills until the boss room, when his macro style for him 16 kills.
