I’ve never seen a broken game that someone didnt enjoy and was willing to defend. It doesn’t mean that is wasn’t broken because the elements worked against one another. I don’t find content that dictates to me how it has to be played rather than letting me find my own solution, to be fun. I find it annoying. It’s like in golf. Players like yourself, like penal golf. Hit the fairway. Hit the green or be punished. If you miss, there is no recovery and you get penalized strokes. There is one “right” way to play, and you get punished for any deviation from it. That’s US Open golf…and I can’t stand it. It boring to watch and even worse to play. I prefer strategic golf. There are many viable ways to play, and it forces you to decide how much risk you are willing to take in exchange for how much reward. High risk, and sound execution? Great score. Low risk? Average scores. High risk but poor execution? Disaster. That’s Master’s Golf. Especially the back nine on Sunday were some of golf history’s most memorable events have happened. Which golf you prefer is subjective. But the point is that you can’t take a course designed for strategic golf—-Augusta National or TPC Sawgrass —-and force it to play penal golf. The result is a disaster. Because the course was never designed to play that way. So ridiculous and infuriating things start to happen (Payne Stewart missing a three foot putt and his ball rolls 30 down hill, off the green and 20 yds back down the fairway). That is what Bungie is doing, and the community is starting to complain because try to force a raid to play this way is creating a situation wher the content is starting to “get away” from Bungie. You may enjoy they result. But it is abundantly clear that you are in a very tiny minority.
