It dosent matter what bungie does to shotguns, people will always be addicted to shotguns, that its sad. The meta will always be hand cannon and shotguns and thats the aspect that ruins pvp for me. Either bring back all sunset crucible maps, or remove mini maps such as asulym, they are ape territory those maps.
And it dosent matter what we say about these problems bungie dosent listen, at the end of the day its just garbage work from bungie not listening to the community, and if the rare chance they do, theyll say in the next season, why wait so long???
We as a community want new content, yes? But im pretty sure a lot more want things fixed before new stuff comes out.
No one likes a game full of bugs but a lot of content, rather than having a balanced game with new content coming out monthly.
All im saying is that no matter what we say as a community the pvp meta will never change, always hand cannon and shotguns. Its the matador 64 and eyasluna meta all over again. Sure there are other stuff that are really good, but look at ace, back to the top yet again. Hopefully when season 15 comes out there will be a lot more versatility you can use in the crucible and not get pooped on by shotguns constantly.
P.S Plz bring snapshot sights in to the tranquility perk pool.

Issue could be fixed by removing 50% of cover on maps. Too easy to slip around a corner while avoiding line of sight with anything with range on it and most open spaces in current maps take less time than the average ttk for someone to rush past. Bannerfall probably has biggest actual open space but it still has a gigantic partial wall that splits area in half rather than being fully open and punishing for people who run across it with a close range weapon. They can’t fix the shotgun meta with all spots on map being 10m from nearest cover. When at any given point you can use hunter dodge or top tree dawnblade to duck behind some form of cover almost no matter where you stand there’s an issue that means shotguns are most effective means to get an actual kill shot rather than get someone 90% dead only for them to slip behind cover. Maps need to have a more even split with less cover in parts of it and being more congested in other parts IE for control having 2 zones deeply entrenched in cover like maps are now and 3rd having far more open spaces where if you rush with a shotgun/smg with someone at objective with a scout/pulse then you will be unlikely to make it. Hand cannon meta is linked to this because they do so much single shot damage that it makes it harder for cover peeking to be as viable since they effectively chop half the healthbar off per shot. If someone can just dodge mid burst of a pulse or lag and dodge part of the burst then comparing that to a hand cannon makes the hand cannon the obvious choice. More open maps would fix most of this because then people would not have such easy access to cover in all places on map.

3 通の返信The solution is not to keep nerfing special weapons, the solution is to remove scavenger mods. Special weapon kills should also not drop special ammo, primary kills only drops one bullet for your special weapon. This is how crucible can be balanced perfectly, the apes obviously disagree

Apeing will always work in this game because people will never learn to counter it. If people are still taking every death to shotguns after 8 years, it is a lost cause. Countering shotguns simply takes a skillset that most players do not care to obtain, and so long as the majority of the playerbase is incapable of it, the strategy will always be viable and therefore the complaints will always be there.

7 通の返信Shotguns are balanced rn imo. The maps themselves mostly allow for a shotgun focus. That being said, you can outplay a shotgun ape by positioning and knowledge. Once you know a player is going to ape, take note of his route and tendencies. From there it is actually super easy to counter and outplay them.
