I have now lost over the last week 30 Ascendant Shards and 50 Enhancement Prisms due to my Post Master being full of stuff and the only way I found out was going to orbit. Why do these have a Cap when everything else doesn’t?
We as Destiny players farm for these and have to worry about our spoils being deleted without our knowledge. Bungie fix this because this system sucks.
Edit: IM AWARE THE POSTMASTER ISNT A BACK UP VAULT, in saying this you’re implying that we can even vault these materials of which we can’t.
I’m saying they need to either remove the Cap or make it bigger. 🙌
Thank you to those who actually have some intelligent responses 😊

2 通の返信What are you going to do with all of them even if you store them in the vault? Once your gear is all master-worked, you don’t need it anyways. I think the cap is perfectly fine. Delete them and get more in the following week by doing GM. I never run out and don’t think I should be storing it. How many different pieces of armour do you need anyways?

Agree, should be able to vault them like just about everything else. You used to be able to masterwork exotic armour using 3 AS and get back two when they were dismantled. In their wisdom Bungie changed this so you only get back one. I use them to master work the following season legendary Lost Sector exotics. I'm sure Bungie does this so that you have to grind 100 E/Cores for each A/Shard. PS: how on earth could you lose so many Ascendant shards?

Sweet Lew 88により編集済み: 7/13/2021 3:55:04 PMLol! I guess some people don't learn from their mistakes. If I put so much effort into farming this stuff, I'd make an effort to monitor my postmaster. Not let that stuff go in the trash

Olórinにより編集済み: 7/13/2021 1:53:26 PMI mentioned this before and someone started whining about 'hoarding'... why would we hoard materials that we currently dont need to use. Its annoying to either spending 3 shards on an exotic you have no intentions of using then vaulting them or let them stack in Postmaster. Just for the record i dont intentionally stack my Postmaster, i just have nothing to use them on other than Exotic armour pieces i dont even intend to use and place them in the vault to shard when needed. Just let us Vault Materials as they are so we can manage our Postmaster.

3 通の返信Caps keep players from breaking the economy and discourages cheats and exploits to find ways to get more of them.

3 通の返信Freakにより編集済み: 7/11/2021 8:25:02 PMLoL while I don’t disagree with more stack storage of EndGame Mats, You losing your mats from the postmaster is your fault. You KNOW the current system. The Postmaster isn’t a vault. I do the same thing. But I also know that when i do use it that way it’s on me to manage it so I don’t loose what I’ve saved there. And you losing 30? That’s either 3 stacks of 10 Or you lost 10 on every character! I couldn’t do that if I tried!! This app alone allows you to pull everything but UMBRALS and Prime engrams which I’m guessing is what happened. So youve got 2 choices. Just delete them after you get to 8 or idk…. Go cash them in for shards!!! In short,
This is a YOU problem.
4 通の返信The postmaster is not an auxiliary vault. If you choose to use it as one, you need to manage your inventory on your character to make sure that drops don't push the "important" things out of your postmaster.

8 通の返信Your postmaster isn't a backup vault. There is absolutely no reason to need more than one stack of any upgrade materials.

Agreed, they shouldn't punish players for good resources management. I'm not going to MW every weapon I get only the important ones. I know next season GM nightfalls will most likely drop new weapons and I want to be ready to MW what ever weapon is worthy of it.

It’s so comfortable here in genshin impact where I can carry virtually unlimited numbers of upgrade materials without ever worrying about space, postmasters, or artificial, ridiculously low caps. Literally every single material is also in a separate storage from gear like weapons, so that’s a nice quality of life. I hated how I had to agonise every day in destiny over what to delete and what to keep after working hard farming for gear, so I can actually spend my time playing the game and making builds.

14 通の返信If you have that much high end mats you can just start masterworking high stat exotics. Keep your postmaster clear from that stuff much as possible. Just go trough your armor even if you don’t need it, anything 66+ can be leveled up. If you ever decide to build something, you can start with that exotic already worked up and ready.

EMUracingにより編集済み: 7/11/2021 8:15:51 PMI stopped playing anything serious after losing my prism and shard stack in postmaster for the third time. If I dont need the power level because Im not playing anything serious, or optimized loadouts, I dont need the prisms and shards that bungie doesnt want me to hold on to. Sometimes optimizing a loadout can require 3 or even 4 new masterworked pieces of armor to work right, which is 4-7 shards, and whatever prism costs... so that can deplete whatever is stored on the character. Casuals dont get that... and farming 2-3 activities back to back can cause 10-15 drops in post because of all of the blues or whatever you cannot pickup at the time. I keep my post as clear as I can, but the priority to save blues just ruins things. This really hasnt improved since D1, and its gotten worse with their caps on everything in inventory and on the character which pushes even more to post.
