I don’t mean to sound dismissive of your grievances. I understand the frustration, especially when your play time is already limited.
But maybe while the game isn’t co-operating it’s a good chance to slow down and play something less demanding.

Destiny 2 is not a demanding game, more than the grind itself. This bottleneck has been created by Bungie from the start. They had no idea that this game would make such a huge impact and therefore did not plan ahead accordingly! And most important did not invest in server-farms that could accommodate all this traffic! This is a broadband flowchart 101! Big miss and will cost Bungie a lot of lost revenue in the end!

Ricochet 049により編集済み: 7/8/2021 8:24:24 AMI’d argue that it is very demanding. It requires that you log on all the time just to to stay at an appropriate light level to play it. Every season it resets making it so you have to re-unlock the end game. For a game with so little to do it demands a lot of time. More time is spent unlocking the content than actually playing it. Regarding the servers I am not very knowledgeable and cannot make an appropriate opinion on that subject. But the primary point of my post was to maybe try playing other games in absence of this one.

Yep. I went online saw that Watch Dogs Legion now has the DLC for Aiden Pearce and Wrench to play in the main mission. I passed on getting that game in October and wanted to wait till i could play as him and it was under $50 to get the game and season pass. Thanks to bungie I saw it was $40 for the game and season pass so that’s now what I’ll be playing. This is on top of family, work and house/car maintenance. Some people revolve around this game too much. Im 130ish on season pass and 1337 light but im shocked when I see someone 250-450 season pass and 1345+

One day? How about glitches and problems almost every day? I think i have had two or three days max since launch without any hiccups. I have been booted from more Strikes and events that i can count by now. And it's ONLY Destiny 2 that gives me all these problems regarding my internet connection! I have over 12 devices on my network that works without problems including DAB for audio and Several Apple TVs, Xboxes, Ps4s, PCs, Ipads and Apple Imacs. Not a single problem. Cut the juice and focus the broadband for just Destiny 2? Immediate problem! No the problem does not reside with us but Bungie for sure! If you can't get decent performance with state of the art broadband technology, there is not much else you can do!

Let me re-phrase my post into a question. Is destiny 2 worth the trouble it’s giving you? Are you enjoying its content enough to put up with the problems you are having? I personally am not having your problems, but you aren’t the first I’ve heard having them. Or other completely different issues. It’s like not everyone’s copy of destiny 2 is the same. I’ve got a friend who glitches through floors all the time while no one else does. It’s very weird.
-
I have lot's of glitches, but most of them exploits that i also exploit, it's more fun running around OUTSIDE the maps than inside. That would tell you something about the state of the game. More fun to explore and find ways to chests and loot than to grind and waste hours of precious time. Shame that is not a thing yet in PVP! Destiny 2, one of the most glitched games ever! 🤣
-
What’s odd is I can’t replicate the glitches. I’ve seen similar things happen in other games where I had no glitches but others suffered horrible glitches. Cyberpunk for example was near flawless for me. I can’t begin to explain a reason though.

PVP SUXにより編集済み: 7/8/2021 9:43:01 AMAll players do not end up on same servers, we experience different things every time. A perfect example is Altars of sorrow. You might end up on a completely desolate server while your friend have 5-6 players in their session making it a cakewalk to reach level V while you struggling with number II Same goes for glitches, i went down in the Pit of heresy and tried out the famous glitch, i had to log of, log on and restart my console to get it right, after that maybe 2 out of 3 attempts work flawlessly. Have not yet gotten VOG glitch to work properly, but the Last wish works, Shattered throne, Presage and other seem to work really well! Cyberpunk are not a online play so the environment does not has to change, the same for me, got the "painting" glitch to work every single time!

I cannot relate to your disconnect issues, it is so rare that when it happens I assume my internet provider is having issues. Launch day? I got problems, days like these past couple of days? I experienced them. Disconnects every other week? I cannot relate to your issues.
-
If you cannot relate, that's just fine, that means some people are not having issues, but that fixes not the problem for the rest of us, that are increasing in numbers by the day. Buy a brand new car and drive it around, but neglect to wash it and do maintenance and it will break down causing you a big hole in your pocket book! If these problems are being allowed to continue to grow and spread. Bungie will lose a big chunk of it's player base and it will not matter if all their content are free from some point. When people stopp having trust and support their platform it's over! If this happens again with next season 15 or DLC they can look for other employments!
-
It does honestly sound like it’s an issue on your side, because I play with a group and the only time I recall them having issues is when everyone is having issues. So if you’re getting disconnected like mid season, when traffic is at its lowest, that’s an issue on your side. Right now, traffic was too high and they dropped an update. Solstice and master vog, same day, as well as double nightfall loot. People were hopping on.
-
Nope, if i had issues with other things, yes, but only with Destiny2? I don't think so! Call of duty, Battlefield, Star wars battlefront, Ghost recon Wild lands, breakpoint, For Honor, Fortnite, PubG, Doom, Rocket legue, Apex legends, Halo, War Thunder, Warframe, Not a single problem. WOW

Look on the bright side, all the other PVP games out there will both get my money and playtime. Imagine when Halo Infinite launches and people will experience better graphics and flow and a big chunk of the D2 PC community can play MP for free on next gen hardware. It's going to be massive. Multiplayer in Halo are seen and was one of the best ever created and now it's making it's return! When that happens D2 bye bye!
