It's just boring, there's no incentive to play, no rewards. And I say that as a Dredgen gilded x2. Once you get the gild what's the point of winning? After that you just go in to do the weekly three for the pinnacle giving zero crap if you win or lose. It's loud, obnoxious, all the alarms, roaring knights, drifter nagging you, you're losing motes brother!!!, invader, invader, invader, invader, invader, invader, invader, tanky ads, repetitive, and the same maps over and over and over. It needs a purpose or a goal. Right now it's like regular strikes. You just do them for the pinnacles and weekly bright dust but they're booooooring.
You are so right about the annoying alarms!
Not to mention people playing for bounties instead of winning. Makes it tough to get 50 wins for gilded when playing solo.
Doesn't help it has atleast three PvE iterations.
Garden of Salvation final raid boss encounter, Contact and Override.
All revolve around gambits principle kill enemies, collect motes, bank motes.
While the first two examples are different somewhat due to not having an invading mechanic Override mimics it pretty well with the teleporter leading to the champion and a handful of vex.
I think it's time to take a break and find a more innovative mode for a little while
