The Slums (RP)
[spoiler]Just letting you guys know beforehand, you probably won’t get replies until tomorrow. Sorry for the inconvenience, I’ll try to be on them as best I can when possible. [/spoiler]
The slums of Offtopic are rarely tread in contrast to its markets. They are sad, decrepit place devoid of happiness and joy, leading most people to outright avoid traversing them altogether. But looks can be deceiving. Tales of amazing bouts and bonds are spoken of as casually as if they came from the tavern of the bustling city. Heroic escapades and daring adventures fuel the air. Every person holds a story, and with that story, the determination to face new trials.
Recently, this vibrant place has become tense, with it’s people rarely ever gathering together. Rumors of recent disappearances and even deaths hold these alleyways down. The people know this is no accident, and know their voices will be dismissed as the ramblings of the deprived.
So they search for a sanctuary, a place they can safely gather. They send small teams out, loosing members each time they do so, with the survivors clueless to what happened, saying their team “just vanished.” Suspicions arise within the slum goers of foul play. And they decide to do the unthinkable. They send out members to the edges of the shop district, instructing them to ask a set of questions to the common populace, and to return once help has been found.
An old man clothed in rags sits at the corner of an alleyway, separating Offtopic’s bustling city from its hidden gems. Tactically speaking, it’s the perfect intersection to meet the most people with knowledge of the city’s layout and culture. And so he waits.

After posting this I am probably going to try out that thing humans do and lie dormant for several hours anyways.[/spoiler] Upon this day a strange traveler from planes afar wanders the streets of offtopic. This traveler is a tall humanoid figure, standing around 6’1”, who looks mostly akin to a normal human. But upon his head small horns rest, strange striped markings cover his face, and a long but thin tale extends from his body. Although the traveler has some more relatively normal characteristics for a human, like his medium length cut hair of a deep red color. But this is no normal traveler, for he is Stígandr the Tiefling. Stígandr carries himself with almost a royal walk, and a curious look masks his face. For many things in the city seem new to him, but many more are akin to the cage which he came from. While he looks curious, he seems to be fending off a state of utter confusion. Almost as he wished not to sully his metaphorical armor with a weakness that could be exploited. Upon seeing the old man, the tiefling smirks a bit. For Stígandr has pursued many acts of skulduggery before and mostly understands that a unsuspecting beggar may have the eyes and ears of the streets, carrying much needed and helpful Information. Although he fathoms little of quests and aid to come. The tiefling will walk over to the man and flip him a golden coin, marked with the strange symbols of a far away land. “Pardon me good sir, but would you be as kind to assist a traveler. I beseech thee, for I require information that you may have.” He says charmingly

8 通の返信As the elder sits on the corner waiting to telling his tales, a man of herculean build and lofty stature happens to be walking by. From a modern perspective he is a giant, standing at an mighty 6’ 7”, which seems only a few inches above average for offtopic standards. Strangely his crystal blue eyes glow with a celestial brilliance, and his skin is of a silver hue that almost gleams in the sunlight, hinting at angelic origins His long hair is a brazen red, and is accompanied by a equally long beard that has been braided on either side. This behemoth of a man is garbed in Medieval styled raiment. He wears a tunic and trews with blue and white stripes. Atop that he wears a plate breastplate seemingly made of many strips of banded metal, as well as steel gauntlets, greaves, boots, and oddly spiked pouldrons. Draped over his shoulders is a cape made of blue wool that almost hides the hammer he carries at his side, and the sword carried upon his back as he does not expect to use it. As he notices the beggar he gives him a kind smile and approaches. The man seems to sense that the beggar is in need of some help, be it from his ragged clothes alone, and seems very willing to help. Although he does not walk the streets with experience, and this is easily gathered by him checking nearly every street sign he goes by. “Greetings Good vagrant, you behold Andor of Arcadia. I hath noticed thee doth not seem to be in the best of condition and a befouled scent has taken to the air. Be there any way I may provide aid?”
