Hey everyone, I'm just an average destiny 2 player who hasnt been playing for long , but for around 6 months now, and I am having muscle tension dyphonia....... Today, I was just doing a raid with some players, I was doing no comms ofcourse(i was using the chat though), cuz if i talk for a while, it makes my cords hurt.... we were doing decent till we wiped twice at atheon, 2 of the guys were pissed because I wasn't doing comms and then they left, resulting in others leaving the fireteam aswell, and then I get a big hate speech from that guy which was toxic and did hit me hard, making me realise it was all because of me unable to do comms because of my disability.... this might sound a bit strange, but the point is that, it's not just me facing this problem or not having comms..... there are many people who dont do comms, there are different reasons, but still, there are many people who dont do comms.... So, I just wanted to suggest bungie to bring something like a tts or anything which could help users without comms , I think this would benefit many people as well as bungie, as it might get em new player.... Dear Bungie, please try to understand my pov and look into this as I'm not the only one facing this, there are many other people out there

5 通の返信A chat wheel with preset coms actions would be nice. For example "attack Objective" "I need help" "Come with me"

blubsにより編集済み: 6/29/2021 9:42:40 PMHere’s the thing, the thing that makes raids fun interesting and challenging is comms So while it may help some, the majority of raiders would be upset as raids would be trivialized and overall not good Also every raid has room for at least 1-2 people to not have comms I don’t think you were the issue
-
Let's be real the communication tools in this game range from awful to non existent to useless. Needs to be an easier way to use team/world chat. I've seen like 2% of ppl actually type in it. Feels like a dead ghost town.
-
I mean, what more can they really do other than text chat? Text to Speech isn't all the fastest and probably wouldn't be much more useful than reading one's own screen when someone types something. Definitely seems to be a more them than you type deal, especially if 2 wipes set them off somehow. Actually talking isn't so much of a big deal as knowing what is going on and what to do. You not talking can't be the reason you guys failed unless you consistently couldn't convey important information or something, something I don't think is heavily barred by a lack of voice. I mean this is Atheon, shoot people, get teleported and pop Oracles(in order now, bleh), escape and light his ass up. TF do they really need from you? Not like you couldn't hear them, right?

2 通の返信If you managed to do oracles and gate keeper and then all the way to Atheon without comms I don’t think the issue was with you. Most likely someone else on the team and wanted to use you as a scapegoat

3 通の返信This isn’t a bungie problem nor is it your problem. This is an entitled playerbase filled with scumbags and pieces of shit problem. There’s nothing wrong with you or the way you raid/communicate.
-
3 通の返信I wish there was a clan or sherpa that did raids with people who have disabilities so people who can't speak, or who are hearing impaired, etc, could do a raid and feel confident that the team would be patient and understanding about it. For a while, I thought of starting a clan like this, but I'm not the person to do it. (I suck at raids. I don't have the time anymore.)
-
1 返信Did you explain to them first that you wouldn’t be on comms ?, if not, you caused the issue.
-
Dude, ignore the haters, I am disabled, my coordination is sometimes affected by the amount of meds I take daily but I'm in an awesome clan that understands I'm not the best. Find a clan that's disabled friendly, there's more than you'd think, but most importantly, don't get disheartened by some elitest pr¡ck telling you how bad you allegedly are. Keep on fighting the fight brother!!
-
3 通の返信I can't empathize brother, but that's just on them They're jerks, as a very professional raider myself, if 1 person ain't talking it ain't a big problem at all, it isn't even a problem
-
I believe they made the Atheon mechanics specifically to help out folks who can't use comms. Literally only two people need to talk (they could even also use a chat if fast enough). 1 of the 3 people teleported calls out Venus or Mars. Then 1 of the 3 people not teleported calls out oracles. It could not be more simple. I believe you had the bad luck of finding a few very toxic players who sucked and were quick to blame it on you. I don't know what the best solution is besides finding better teams, lfg is so hit and miss. Here's to hoping you find better groups, friend!

Dear Bungie, please try to understand my pov and look into this as I'm not the only one facing this, there are many other people out there[/quote] Yea this is a player base issue . Players expect everyone who joins their lfg to know the game inside and out enough to NOT have to do comms and that’s just bad gameplay /experience overall . When dealing with complex mechanics in activities (dungeons/raids/higher tier NFs) comms are absolutely ESSENTIAL and honestly preferred. I’ve raided the deep stone crypt couple nights ago and we had people with no mics 🙄who didn’t really kwtd. They made us wipe at security encounter , if they just stated that they don’t kwtd I would gladly explained and ran them through it properly . But they def had to go 👋they made others experience terrible ,and that’s not cool. I’ve seen some LFG posts that said .. I shit you not.. “diViniTY rUn kwTd nEed ShErpA no Mic”🤡😂 “flAwlEes GM no mic”😒 “flAwlEEs pRophecy No mic” ... etc literally psychopaths . You’re destined to fail and doom your fire team if you can’t communicate at that high level and as we all kno Communication is key;))))😇 you’ll most likely ALWAYS lose to a team in cruicble/trials if they’re coordinating strats while your team is dead on comms . L That separates the players who actually want others to succeed with them . Although I can understand a no mic lfg with Legend NF, crucible /iron banner matches ,even a master Empire hunt bcuz it’s mostly straight forward . So No ,I don’t agree ,learn to play and talk with others . Stop being anti social ,you’re holding yourself AND others back .

1 返信That’s shitty, man. I’m sorry that happened. Any group can make it work if they want to and it just sounds like those folks didn’t want to. Brush it off, they’re not worth the frustration. As for no comms (aside from chat obviously), you can always set up an emote system beforehand, or just take support roles.

18 通の返信Redactedにより編集済み: 6/28/2021 5:48:14 PMI feel like there’s more to this story than what you’re telling us. In your last VoG run, you had the least amount of kills and the most number of deaths (12 more than the second highest person). For some reason, I feel like that is relevant to why your team disbanded. Your inability to stay alive combined with you not saying anything probably made it seem like you had no idea what you were doing.

1 返信I play with non verbal people all the time. It’s not a game thing. Your team was awful to you.
-
1 返信Yes, i think it's a good idea and i also have no comms so it would be helpful. I'm not trying to be selfish but destiny 2 definitly needs this (not Destiny 1 though, there was not as much comms needed for those raid. You could even solo the Crota's End raid without glitching).

1 返信I am also unable to speak. Anxiety issues and inability to think with a lot of voices in the background is a common occurrence for many eager new raiders I have seen or talked to online. Something like the Ping System in Apex Legends is incredibly amazing for people unable to verbally communicate but I recognise it’s no easy feat to build and implant a system like that. At the very least, a more fleshed out and expansive text chat should be put onto the to-do list. Consoles have none unfortunately and PC text chat I’ve heard is opt in so many players go without knowledge of its existence or they simply do not bother due to reoccurring bugs. There’ll always be toxic people in competitive PvE sadly but if there were more accessibility options I feel as if it’d help the mood and feel of trying to get together to do something big like a raid.

1 返信I hear what your saying but at the end of the day working with the community as is is extremely doable with guaranteed results. Placing a new feature to solve a specific problem and hoping the community utilizes the feature and changes in the way your hoping is extremely unlikely. Not trying to disparage your idea but the destiny community is extremely “unique”. What I’m trying to say is on paper a no mic feature may appear like it can address your problem. However preventing people from leaving when they feel they could get something done faster elsewhere won’t change regardless. Another example somthing like guided games seemed amazing on paper. However due to its strict rules people who Sherpa do just didn’t it on normal lfg. Result in guided game having several hour wait times and bei basically dead.
-
1 返信Yep would help people with anxiety etc too. I totally support anything that can promote inclusion for the disabled or otherwise.

24 通の返信It's a game based upon teamwork and communicating. Now we want Bungie to pander towards those who don't communicate and don't use teamwork? I'm sorry but not everything is for everyone.

2 通の返信TTS could be the way forward as an idea for sure. I remember doing raids with a deaf dude and he used emoting to signal if he was ready.
