Way down we go. The Prelude.

Prelude Out of nowhere, there is a blinking blue light in a dark room that is filled with a purple glow. The blue isn’t your typical shade. It was created a long time ago in a place that isn’t commonly known in our language. A place that is forgotten by most but that doesn’t mean much, because, in the end, only a few walked away from it. One of those individuals is sitting in the room. A Warlock is listening and taking in every inch while going over what she has learned since she began on this path. Meditating is a way of getting the mind straight. In this room even the purple has a story, the reason for it is because she belongs to the Awoken. At least that is how a lot of Guardians have called her. The number of Awoken in the ranks of the Guardians is few compared to the Humans and Exo’s. Most still just call her a Guardian or Warlock, but her codename has always been Sapphire. That isn’t her real name, but it fits her as only a few names would. Her mind was taking her in a place of knowledge, a knowledge that she has gathered over the years and with which she has always been able to outsmart any enemy in a fight. That doesn’t mean that she has never lost a battle or hasn’t forgotten what the Darkness has taken over the years. In one last second, she can smell the purple lightning and feel every memorabilia she collected or has been given her over the years. Some pieces are more important to her than others. Some have been from people that don’t walk with the light anymore. Some others are in the abyss and some are just forgotten in time, but she never forgets. One breath later and the blinking blue light has begun making noises and Ruby her Ghost appears in the room when the Guardian opens her eyes. The communication device begins- -- Mayday, Mayday, Mayday! Th.. …. Abra….. … Sapphire….. Sapp…. The communication device keeps stuttering, but Sapphire recognizes that voice…. She knows it is impossible because that Guardian is dead. SAPPHIRE! Go to Zavala, Ikora, Petra, Don’t trust ….. Do not trust ….. I repe.. aga.. Do. Not. Trust …. Ma.. Z… Cayde-6 was right….. In the background, you could keep hearing emergency sounds and it kept saying ‘’life support failing’’. Do not go after me Sapp! Tell Za.. Ik… they will take c…. o… it. Goodbye Sapphire, Abraxas out…. And with it, she could hear in the background a bang, but it was too soft to be a true explosion. Sapphire’s her mind was all over the place, because the person she just heard over the radio died a year ago. She saw him die…. They never recovered his body, but he was dead. Abraxas was her best friend, at least that is how she saw it. They became Guardians around the same time and even though they weren’t part of the same fireteam, they did do missions together. They shared their stories and on late nights, even each other’s pain or doubts, but that is something we do not know for certain. Ruby her ghost was already working on the signal, but whatever she did… she could not even get a direction off where it was coming from. The only sign of tracking Abraxas’s his direction was out in the wind. Ruby already knew what was going to happen and she couldn’t stop her Guardian, because she was livid. They knew Abraxas was still alive!? but didn’t tell her. She was mourning him and still did and maybe even again. He… he.. he is alive Ruby… We are going after him, no matter what he said. He would do the same for us! No matter the risks or danger. But first, let's pay a visit to the Vanguard. They lied to me, they lied to us, Ruby. Abraxas… he kept it a secret that he was still alive. Why would he do that Ruby? In what trouble is he this time? He always came to me for help… why not this time? Why? I just don't understand and we are going to find some answers. The second she said that the room was already filled with a red glow and people outside could see steam coming out of the house. Sapphire was a walking bomb at this point and she wanted to level the whole street where she was living to the ground. She always was an example of level-headedness and being calm even in the most stressful of situations. But after the loss of Abraxas, she has been letting her anger get the best of her. Her emotions cloud her judgments. Fireteam after Fireteam has let her go because they call her too loose off a cannon. She has been acting suicidal on missions and ignores her team’s safety. She is unable to fully control her powers anymore. Ikora has tried giving her some council, but nothing has helped. The once-proud Warlock who was known for her strategy and leadership under the worst of times and moments has fallen to her own mind. A mind that used to be the strongest power in any arsenal.
