^^ This has been an issue for way too long now. Anyone who is using Fireteam Seach or D2 PC LFG sees how rarely a Hunter is preferred. The last time I can remember was in the Garden World GM but only to run through it with Invis.
Even as a Hunter Main I would prefer not to have a Hunter in a GM because they are less useful. Why Invis when Ursa does it better and why GG when Geomags are better? Of course you can complete any GM with a Hunter but it sucks when they are pretty much the last choice. You dont´t even need the Tether because of Breach and Clear or Divinity. This is an issue that partly extends to Raids as well.
The only activites where I would still prefer a Hunter is a Solo MLS/LLS or Solo Flawless Dungeons.
Edit: Some people don´t seem to understand that this is NOT a discussion about skill. This is not a discussion whether it is possible to complete any activity with a Hunter, I said that it is possible myself. Efficiency is about time and effectiveness.
Edit 2: I am starting to lose my faith in humanity here. Why are people still telling me that Hunters are good when that was never up for discussion here? Inefficient does not mean Hunters are a bad class.

6 通の返信Hunters have its use but you can do a GM without a hunter, they are just an added bonus. You actually can not do a gm without a banner shield, a well, or both.

10 通の返信I've done my fair share of GMs, and I main a Hunter. I mostly disagree with what you've said. Hunter invis is immensly useful, and with Star Eater Scales, I can see GG actually being useful in GMs (though I have yet to do one this season). I think the issue is that Hunters can do a LOT of very useful things, but not all of those things are always good for all GMs. Some GMs invis is useful, others its tether. This is as opposed to Warlock and Titan, where Well/Bubble/Ursas are always useful basically no matter what. My groups usually fall into 1-2 healers/tanks (Well and Ursa) and one damage dealer. That damage dealer may be Slowva, it may be Nighthawk, or hammers, etc. Point is, the only time I feel less efficient on my hunter is when my character moves physically slower than a warlock or titan

2 通の返信Pretty sure Hunter was the first to solo this week’s GM - no cheese. Check out Saltagreppo’s video. Every class has its benefits.

Hexiにより編集済み: 6/24/2021 5:56:35 AMAnother reason why season-specific artifacts are utterly moronic, and should be removed. I hate the whole idea of being forced play the way Bungie dictates every season. O, you like Bows? TOO BAD LOL, you will use that SMG + GL for the next few months and LIKE IT.

Depends on how you take on it. Hunters would always make good anchors to keep the team in game and avoid an orbit wipe. Almost certainly, they also have the upper hand into mobbing foes and/or serve as bait for the remaining party to take the less risky approach. They are thin and slim i get you, but if you find a bold player behind the controller, they're a good asset.

4 通の返信As a nightstalker main since D1, I hear ya. Invis is pretty much the only real useful thing we stalkers got. Tether is great and when used correctly, within optimal conditions of course, it can take huge chunks of life or outright kill bosses. However, most non-stalkers don't know to hold their supers until after tether triggers to optimize their damage output or just don't activate their supers or to let adds get tethered then attack. It's a hard knock life for nightstalkers. 😕

For this season I probably would agree with you for but for last season having a stasis hunter for most of the GM's made boss melting an option. A lot depends on the artifact mods in play. Last season had an artifact mod that allowed light supers to deal more damage to enemies affected by stasis. Tagging an enemy with just a shuriken let alone a super it could then be deleted by a chaos reach or thunder crash. Farmed Arm's Dealer, deleting the boss before he got a chance to leave the centre let alone get anywhere near going to the first platform

11 通の返信Breach and clear only works for boss/champion level enemies so not quite the same as tether. Tether can lockdown an entire area of all enemy levels. Y’all act as if hunter became bad all of a sudden because some of the other classes got bumped up to their level. Hunter has been very good in PvE for a long time and still is. Now we just have more options, which is a good thing.

1 返信I love how people just say "mad cuz bad". Hunters aren't a viable choice for PvE; at least, the 3rd choice overall.

2 通の返信Invis is nice. Idk even bottom goldie is great just from spamming special finisher from all the ez super energy. Git gud.

1 返信As someone who has been crutching on stasis for past 2 seasons in GMs you dont know what are you talking about. Hunters do have a place in GM meta but everyone on lfg will sooner look for ursa because its easier to get a value out of it.

I do agree though the hunter provides little and the only way they can distinguish them selves beyond going invis is insta kill soloing the champions. Good celestial players can drop champions on a dime and know to chain pratice makes perfect to keep the super sub 2min CD. But how often you see a hunter do the work on 3? rarely, and you have no idea how often I am greeted joining a LFG with "dont miss"

3 通の返信Uh hello. Invisibility and debuff. Oh wait, there is an artifact that does the same as tether. Oooh! I know! Burst damage on champs with celestial. Oh wait, thundercrash and falling star is a thing now.
