While I don't like platforming in this game in general it's been done better in the past. If you aren't cheesing it it's all the bugs, weird deaths from touching man cannons wrong (not sure there's a 100% correct way to touch them or if it's random), weird deaths like the physics going nutty and dying from a 2 foot fall, weird death now from those taken wall blasters shooting you off their timer with no sound or animation. It's strange how these things that aren't broken in other parts of the game are broken here. It's almost like they wrote a whole separate set of code just for these missions and built a new engine from the ground up.
It's really annoying when you have a cheap death and then you get set 3 platforms back. It's not even about difficulty or time because it's not difficult and even without cheesing it doesn't take that long. It just feels bad when the rules don't matter.
Yep. Bungo doesn't seem to care about being consistent in whether something kills you or not, and seems to think it's a good thing to frustrate players rather than give them an enjoyable challenge.
