Did anyone else appreciate the dual wield option that Halo 2 had?
If so, would it have improved the other games if they had this feature?

It was fine until you had to fight the flood and realised you couldn’t throw grenades or even switch to your shotgun without dropping the second weapon. Then it sucked Really hard. I have to admit though, Chief dual-wielding on the box art is one of the coolest things.

It was fun, it wasn't great per se, but it was definitely fun. I think it didn't do well as well in Halo 3 because movement speed was lowered between Halo 2 and Halo 3, and it started losing its niche. I do miss my dual needlers.

Rarely felt necessary to me. One of the many ideas that the team was throwing around during Halo 2 development that just managed to stick. Borks accuracy, melee, grenade and swap speeds. It can add a layer of strategy by allowing you to carry a third weapon around, and some combos rip at close range. I have memories of "John Woo" customs with only magnums.
