THANK YOU!
I have been waiting for this one, along with around 4 other mods she has.
The current mod system is a joke, and I only missed 2 or 3 seasons while I played other games.
My friend is a new player and he can hardly make ANY cool builds because of the mods system. See cool build on youtube, try to make it, Ada says no. Rinse and repeat.

they removed the ability to get mods from ada when sunsetting and dcv hits, then they removed crucible tokens so that's one less way to get mods, even with ada back there's still no way to get mods from her anymore, you just sit with your 2000 mod components and do absolutely nothing with it, this is not a change in the game system, they straight up forget about mods in the game, I also doubt a team that came up with sunsetting can like the idea of even having builds very much

You can make many cool builds without CWL/Warmind cells. Try the elemental well system introduced last season that you can still get all of the mods for. The current mod system is fine, you are just upset because you made a choice to play other things, and don’t like the consequences of that choice.
that's not at all what he meant, he left the game when there was much more ways to earn mods, now mods are exotic but more rare
There really wasn’t. The current season had the mods for that season, and after that you had to wait until gunsmith sold them.
There really wasn’t.
Yes there were, you get mods from ada as many times as you want if you have the mod components, you get mods by turning tokens to shaxx or any other sunsetted destinations, you get mods from activities like menagerie, you get specific mods like armament from specific raids/quest there were 12times more ways to earn mods rather than prey gunsmith to sell them now

Rest of the mods still come from gunsmith/Saladin from rank up packages. Raid mods can still be gotten in their respective raids (taken in LW, garden mods in garden, etc.) Except for the activities that have combat style mods, all of those same sources exist.

The fact that you can also miss a day due to personal reasons or simply burnout of playing the game and then go on months without seeing the mod ever again, just to possibly miss it AGAIN is a little rough and I think it needs to change at least a bit.

This 100%. It's just a build, and new players deserve to have fun and do some buildcrafting too. I honestly can't even imagine picking up the game for the first time and having so much locked behind waiting walls, can't even grind for them. My new player friend has played for nearly 2 months now, checking Ada every day and he is still waiting patiently to be able to have fun builds to mess around with. He has nearly every exotic for his class already thanks to lost sectors, he could've had anarchy by now from raiding, yet he can't make some fun builds. It's just a dumb system. Thanks for agreeing

Imagine Believing Bungie is right to push. predatory game mechanics.. Imagine if ANY other game came out from A Triple A Game that would do Thier best to limit and hide content from players, so as to push an Artifial grind time. Video games are not supposed to be a second job, your supposed to pick the game up WHENEVER and be able to through in Game EFFORT have access to the entire game. -- That'd a Standard of Video Games that's BUNGIES wants to change to maximize profits

Not all games are the same. That’s your expectation of what a game is. Don’t like it, stop playing them. This is a live service game. Things change, things will come, things will go. Get over yourself. Games should only do one thing: provide entertainment. And it does. Play a single player game if you want access to the entire game whenever. Imagine thinking that running a business means predatory.

lol what? Chill out mate. I'm personally not upset at all, she has like 4 mods I want, no big deal. A new player starting this game though.. Ada has something like 50+ mods, she sells 2 at a time, they aren't even in a rotation, just random. You could see the same mod 10 times before you see the one you want. The current system of obtaining mods is a joke. "You can make many cool builds"... Tell that to a newer player. They are limited to the artifact, and using well builds, after playing for 3 weeks. That's it. A new player isn't getting any cool mods that go together well for, quite literally, months. Sorry that I am trying to look out for other people instead of just thinking about myself all the time I guess, Jeeze.

Pretty sure players that were there paid for the seasons the mods were introduced, so waiting is the least they can do to just click a button and have them. The game is playable at all stages without combat style mods. Elemental wells, which can still be gotten in entirety, can fill that spot until he gets new mods, then he can see how they go together. The only other option in my mind is to put them behind GMs/trials/raids like adept mods (master raids now that they exist). Something to make it difficult to get, kinda like how it costs 240 to pick up a weapon people received for paying for the raid’s content and then grinding RNG.
