Honestly all Bungie needs to do is buff (almost all) primary weapons scout rifles need a headshot damage increase and a slight buff to flinch, sidearms need a slight bodyshot nerf but a headshot buff, certain pulse rifles (390- 450s) need headshot damage buffs, bows are in a somewhat ok position but maybe a little less flinch when aiming them will do and HCs need a slight nerf to range again primarily 120s but overall most are OK
After and if bungie actually do these changes they can monitor how things change, if they do and specials still get overused compared to primaries then yh a nerf to special ammo may be needed but TTK in primary weapons is a joke and and part of the reason why so many people use special weapons the other issue is map size most of the maps are literally tiny and promote special ammo play
However as someone below mentioned Bungie keeps avoiding the point I made and as said person made and keep adding in things like stasis to see if they helps which it didn't
Also auto rifles mostly 360 and 450 RPMs need a body/headshot damage increases but also need to avoid a repeat of Uriels Gift meta

4 通の返信Not every archetype will be the most competitive. 180 hand cannons are a prime example of that. They are niche. Rapid fire pulses are niche. 450 autos are descent. 360 are niche. Not everything can be top notch and there is such a thing as niche. They remain niche because any buff to them makes them ridiculous. For example..... 120 hand cannons. They were niche, and should have remained 110s without receiving a damage buff. They already had insane ranges, they didn't need the RPM and damage increase to compete. That's the problem with buffing niche weapons. 360 autos already hit 40s to the head with damage buffs. Sure, lets buff base head shot damage to 38, that way with rampage or kill clip or even a basic empowering rift they'll hit 45 to the head. 5 shot kill at 360 rpm for any resilience. Care to take a guess at that AIDS ttk value? I agree 120s are extremely free but buffing everything else to align with an outlier is the definition of power creep. For the most part, minus DMT and 120s and a few marginal outliers like slide shot GLs etc, the sandbox isn't in a horrible spot. Ammo economy is absolute trash though.

You could buff pulses into shotgun ttk levels and these people would still not put down their precious shotguns. The shotguns have to be pried away somehow. I don't know how that is and I'm afraid to suggest anything, lest I be shotgunned, but buffing primary ttk isn't going to get people off the ohk addiction alone. I'm sure there's some individual things here and there that could use some attention but the game is set up basically so that people use a special weapon and a primary. Don't see how making it so people are now maining two special weapons instead of one would help much.
