ive gone through over 20 iron banner matches today and i dont think once i was killed because i was shooting at someone who was shooting me back with a primary and not hiding in a corner with 5 teamates

1 返信I force 1v1 gunfights with my positioning. As soon as I see someone rushing me, I back off and make distance so they are forced to take out their primaries. I hear you though, there are some people that will seriously not drop their shotguns and even rush across the map to get that shotgun kill. Ive started using chaperone so I no longer have to trade with shotgun apes. Of course once they close the gap too well then they will get the one shot off but I’m getting way better at making distance. Special ammo in this game is ridiculous

But it shows the nature of the problem...and the situation has only gotten worse over time as body shot TTKs have gone up (slowing non-optimal killing times of primary weapons) and players have gotten even faster. In the first part of the video (black and white). You're shown all the ways the game can penalize you for trying to get into a primary gun fight. The TTK is so long that you have time for people to run away from losing fights. For others to rotate over and intervene. Either with primaries (team shooting). Or with special weapons (you get shotgunned or sniped). or with fast-killing abilities. Even in encounters that stay 1v1, primary weapons are not a credible threat to anyone armed with a special weapon. Shotgunners just fly at you and can easily close the gap to their own weapon range before a primary can kill them. Snipers (used to) be able to shrug off flinch and either drag snipe you....or body shot you and clean you up with a HC before you can kill them with a primary. The second part shows you the ACTUAL speed of play as Mtashed uses augmented mobility (Twilight Garrison...the precursor to Icarus Dash) to quickly move around the map. close distances. Then uses fast-killing weapons and abilities to FINISH OFF opponents before others can intervene. Then leverage the opening to move on to the next person (whose unaware of the exposed flank) and finish them off as well. These "hero moments" and ability to quickly chain kills are the APPEAL of Destiny pvp. But the problem is you have a PVP community that only wants that happening when THEY are dishing it out. Once they find themselves on the recieving end of it they start to complain. Which is not a tenable position...and no way to design a game.

Is it just me or do they seem to be happening a little less in Stasis' absence. Its weird too because after last weeks TWAB, like the day after for me there was already way more light subclasses and things seemed to be overall fine. Then stasis got taken away... Its like some of these people have been sleeping with their shotguns this entire time just waiting for that day.

12 通の返信They took away peoples' Stasis crutches So now those people went back to their Felwinters/teamshot crutches.
