But... They do.
It takes the exotic slot of out armor set. So we can’t run any other exotic in the entire game. That’s... Thats literally a trade off.
Want better movement? You can’t use this cool ability then!

6 通の返信The problem is that the movement subs/exotics allow to compensate for bad positioning without enough cost. Cryoclasm doesn't really have this issue anymore. But Icarus allowing for free getting out of "oh shit" scenarios and getting halfway across most maps for a 6 second cooldown is INSANELY powerful in PvP. So we'd either need non-movement based ability builds to be buffed out the ass, or make movement cost more.

4 通の返信Taking an exotic slot isnt enough of a "cost". You can just have the best movement in the game by deciding to equip an exotic, it needs to have an impactful downside to it. Thats just good game design. Very good movement but you trade in air accuracy for it, as an example.

4 通の返信Movement is king in this game. Sacrificing an ability from another exotic for the sake of massively improved movement plus 1-2 other benefits on top of that is 100% a profit. Hunters with Stompees are a plague on this game because it takes their already busted movement and amplifies everything good about it even further. Titans with Dunemarchers can 1hko 3 or more people at once. Warlocks with transversives NEVER have to reload. That's time they can instead use to reposition and know their gun will be ready to fire when they stop. The sheer utility of these exotics are WHY they have no downside. Hunters can pop in and out of engagements as easily as breathing which gives them the upper hand of controlling how, when, and where you fight them which is CRITICAL in this game. Titans being able to 1hko any group of 3 or more is insane given that's a full team wipe in trials, survival, and elimination in the right situations, and given how often people clump up in 6v6 it grants them incredibly devastating power in quickplay. Warlocks not needing to reload anything, ever, gives them an advantage in gunfights that no other class can get. Sure you can emulate it with certain weapon perks, but that's a perk slot you could have gotten something better on. If you can't see why these things need to be reeled in, you're not playing the same game as the rest of us.

Gravezeroにより編集済み: 6/6/2021 11:50:06 PMI dont play enough of the other 2 classes to reccomend changes. But damn the chain lightning effect from dunes needs adjusted it's too good imo. I do know fighting stompee hunters is annoying as hell, the warlock boots arent that big of a deal imo.

Movement based exotic are too good in PvP They always do nerf depending on what most used... Honestly I'm not surprised they looking into them....their wording was terrible I don't think they are looking into putting a setback in them but probably a nerf on their ability or having some cooldown

2 通の返信To be fair, in pvp you likely aren't going to wear any other exotics in the first place. So yes, it does take your exotic slot, but you are using it for something valuable. It's like saying using wardcliff is a tradeoff because it takes an exotic slot when I could be using last word instead. You are purposefully using something that Grant's you something powerful...that isn't a trade off. To be clear, I'm not saying they should give exotics trade offs, but that argument you made doesn't make sense.
