This is NOT about the video. This is about the Reddit harassment.
This is someone's health and mental well-being. In university I indirectly lost a friend to mental health. I won't stand idle and see someone who means well, aiming to help so many, suffer.
This isn't about if you like him or his content, throw this post an upvote to show him a thank you for all the tips and support he has offered the community over the years.

1 返信Kemaleonにより編集済み: 6/1/2021 5:13:30 PMMy take on this: As a monetised Youtuber its necessary to present videos of a certain minimum length and frequency (10 mins, once, twice a week etc. depending). When these content creators find something to make a video about such as a leak, bug etc. many of them realise there isn't enough substance to that one piece of news to fill a video and people like Houndish (who has also come under fire for his voice and content) try to fill the remaining space with other news, reports on vendor rolls, Xůr's inventory etc. Kackis however doesn't seem to put much effort into this, its something he has always been criticised for and early on this was received as well worded, constructive criticism in his videos comments. But it never seemed like he cared to take those comments and try to improve his delivery method. Over time it moved onto satire, mockery and outright insults yet he still has not taken the hint. I know people who watch his videos and still slate him, some of them skip the first 3 minutes which is usually a summary of the subject matter of the video, others only watch the summary and end it there essentially finding the summary generally covers everything anyway. Repeating the same thing is part of the criticism. As someone who has chosen to put himself in the spotlight, and makes money from it you'd think he would put greater importance on how he is received by the public and the issues people have with his content and would be eager to improve and evolve, instead he just seems stubbornly determined to ignore it which I think is a mistake. Bullying is never cool, but the internet and its anonymous assassins are what they are so someone is his position should either have the thick skin to deal with it, adapt to solve it or if his mental state is really at risk then he should quit. Tl:dr; My thoughts, no one should be bullied but he does invite it somewhat.

8 通の返信The attacks go both ways. Many of the streamers make some pretty shitty tweets taking shots at the community. Its pretty normal for people to take shots back. They are either both ok or both wrong. From where im sitting, both sides are as guilty as the other. Toxicity breads toxicity.

8 通の返信Necrogenにより編集済み: 6/1/2021 3:56:29 PMI'm all up for taking care of oneself. Now listen to what I'm about to say. I don't feel sorry for these streamers. This is the lifestyle he chose and many streamers in his circle only cover one game and all they do is complain. They sit around 8 to 10 hours a day trying to make a living. We all work. We all bust our butts because we have responsibilities to our families and to ourselves. The streamers are not in the unique position where they are going to be glorified. Yes, remember that your own mental health matters. Go outside, remember to get fresh air, eat, hug a loved one etc etc. He can easily take a break and go on vacation and recuperate. That's all he gets from me.

7 通の返信If he can’t handle video criticism then he doesn’t need to be in the public eye. Now attacking him personally is a different issue all together and yes it’s wrong. But he’s no stranger to the internet. What I don’t get is his intros have literally been a meme for YEARS in the PvE and raid communities alike. As for his “Well Being” He should know better than to even read online trolls. He’s obviously successful. And it’s for a reason. You can’t make everyone happy. And miserable/jealous Trolls are everywhere. They Internet Warrior every day. And that video did nothing but add fuel to the fire. That was his mistake. I respect and appreciate what he’s done but he also needs to grow some thicker skin. He’s living his dream and that’s a great thing. But he needs to learn how to take a Joke. Especially one that’s been circulating for damn near a decade.

aequusにより編集済み: 6/2/2021 2:35:39 AMIf this is about the intro meme all I gotta say is c'mon man. Mental health is serious, but dude that has nothing to do with it.. I'm actually starting to get really annoyed at these kinds of posts where people make something IT ABSOLUTELY IS NOT in the name of something that is actually serious.. QUIT trying to make stuff that it is not! Also, not saying its a bad thing, but some of yall put way to much care into people whom consider you nothing more than a dollar sign and a stranger.. let it sink in.

22 通の返信I like Rick Kackis and find his videos very useful better than Datto. Unfortunately this is the internet full trolls harassing people as there sad and have no life

1 返信I really dont care for his content, I found myself skipping the first 4 minutes and that last 4 minutes. I simply stopped watching his videoes and moved on. Its unacceptable that he is getting harassment.

1 返信I have no problem with him , used to watch his guides before I found Esoterrick who doesn't speak just shows you how to do or where to find stuff through gameplay. But he is taking this way too personally If it was me , I wouldn't care at all , either watch my vids or don't ,or I would link to the vids saying here is a way to one phase Templar and Atheon quick and easy

If comparing his intro to beating Templar is a problem to Rick , that's a rick problem. If that is considered harassment, then I really don't understand the meaning. It wasn't negative in fact its true if you watch it. Also his intro is way longer then this is flip bapis, he does asuper long intro, and then we have to hear about his drink. That is all his intro. Personally if I watch his videos I know to skip the first 2 to 3 minutes
