Decided to play D2 on my pc for a bit and keep in mind my specs are fairly good (I do use an AMD GPU but it’s capable of 1440p) however I get mad frame drops and random lag dips and I’m not too sure why. My pc is perfectly fine and nothing is wrong with it currently. Would anyone be able to give advice on how to circumvent this?

I was on a RTX 1660 and all was fine then decided to switch over to AMD (i am an AMD Fanboy, what can i say:) ) so i bought a 6700 XT and Destiny has become a Nightmare I am in the need to buy the Upgrade pack but to be honest if its not changing and i doint think so, why to spend money in a Game thats not getting fixed? Mean its more or less then 6 month now since nothing has changed and writing "We are aware" does not fix it. the big question now if Bungie will get it done or leave it as it is? I love that Game (Day One Destiny1 Alpha Player) but i am thinking to leave this game which annoys me a lot but what can u do?

1 返信Hello. I appreciate you reporting this issue to us. We're aware that it's occurring and we're investigating.

4 通の返信I have a 5700XT with a 3700X, and most planets run less than 60fps on low settings. I can out everything minimum and reduce render resolution all the way to 50% and barely break 70fps on earth. Tangled shore runs 20-40fps. They promised a fix in january and never released it, and never did anything about it after. They refuse to say anything about it outside of generic responses on the forums. Stupidly annoying and its legitimately upsetting how they went from being really transparent to this. Feels like asking Valve for Half Life 3 at this point

1 返信Same here. I'm also rocking an AMD GPU (rx5600xt specifically) which should have no issues running this game, but ever since BL came out performance went out the window. The only solution that I have discovered by now is try and install an older GPU driver version. I'm currently running ver. 20.4.2 (which is like a year old by now lol). I know it is suboptimal, but performance got a little bit better. Also, now I'm stuck in a loop of constantly updating my drivers just to play newer games and then rolling them back to play D2 comfortably. Hope this helps.

Red Deathにより編集済み: 5/28/2021 9:38:03 AMI know other AMD users have been experiencing performance issues since BL's release but I got this PC in February (R9 3900X CPU, 32GB RAM, RX 6800XT GPU) and the game was buttery smooth. With the graphics settings maxed out I was getting a consistent 165fps on 1440p resolution up until season 14. When I updated the game I ran a strike and was getting 40fps, the game was stuttering all the time and was completely unplayable. Updating windows and getting the latest AMD drivers boosted the fps to nearly 60 but it still ran like ass, lowering the graphics settings seemed to make little to no difference too. Even on the lowest settings the frames would drop and stutter when there was a large population of enemies in an area, making most PvE activities unplayable.
