I highly doubt it as the fun of the relic was feeling like you had true power and no enemy other then the boss could take you down. You could free yourself from detain faster then anyone, take out strong ads like Minotaurs in 2-3 hits and wipe out groups of goblins in one hit. As you may be able to still do some of thats stuff i hear the relic was also nerfed and performs worse then what it used to be

If anything it does more damage and has more survivability. Literally the only “nerf” is the relic can’t destroy the detain. The detain itself has significantly lower Heath than D1, so your teammates can each fire a single shot and you’re free. If you clump up during Templar, the detain will get destroyed as you kill Templar with slugs, you won’t even have to pay attention to who is getting detained.
Explain how it has more survivability Reason i say it doesn’t feel as strong against ads is because of champions
The relic holder doesn’t go up against any champions in any of the encounters. If one did, then you can two hit them with the first hit stunning them for a sec. The shield on the relic is much more responsive in Destiny 2 and you have access to a load of armor mods and subclass abilities that can massively boost your survivability.
So its not the shield that has survivability
I literally just said the shield is more responsive… which surprise, surprise, helps you survive. Not that you need it in most situations in D2. The relic holder in D2 is essentially unable to die unless they try. That was even the case for my teams day one clears.
