DriftedColt4179により編集済み: 5/25/2021 11:58:25 AMCounting is hard these days. Once again another “just hand it to me for free” post. The raid is fun and the new changes add another dimension to something that was mind numbingly simple.

6 通の返信Yes they do. If you dont want mechanics, I suggest some patrols or the crucible playlist. Raids with mindless mechanics doesnt make you a better raider.

Id say vog is the least complicated and convoluted raid in d2, easily. Even with the added complexity from the original it is still very simple and easy to understand/teach. Ive tried teaching and sherpaing people through raids like last wish and leviathan and it is tough. Teaching encounters like gauntlet, pools, calus, shuro chi, and the vault is a nightmare. How about the final encounters of scourge of the past, spire of stars, and garden? All of these make Vault of glass, in its entireity, look like a cakewalk.

3 通の返信In first encounter you stand on plates In second encounter you defend confluxes In third encounter you count to 3, then 4, then 5, then 6, and then 7. In the next encounter you kill a boss while counting to 3 sometimes. In gorgon encounter you play hide and seek. In next encounter you play hot potato. In final encounter you count to 3 a total of 3 times and kill a boss. If you can count to 7, you can do this raid.

11 通の返信Most of y'all only liked VoG because it was a long strike in terms of mechanics. It was probably the most braindead raid ever released.

7 通の返信I had no idea being able to count to 7 would make me a physicist. So if I say front right, back mid then back left in the correct sequence I get to be the valedictorian? NASA here I come!!

1 返信"Convoluted" VOG is literally the easiest D2 raid there is. Nothing convoluted about the mechanics. Your team just needs to be able to count to 7 and communicate, that surely can't be too much to ask for an endgame PvE activity

DJ Professor K (Timelost)により編集済み: 5/26/2021 10:01:27 AM
If we wanted to learn that, we'd become physicists
If you want activities without mechanically driven gameplay, go play a strike. Or override. Or gambit. Or the story. Or empire hunts. Or nightmare hunts. Or lost sectors. Or pvp. Or almost anything in the game that isnt a raid. Raids arent made for you, it's fine. Did you ask fromsoftware to make an easy mode for Sekiro/Dark Souls? Did you ask DOOM to be a farming simulator? No. Because not every game is going to be exactly what you want at all times. A BUTT TON of people love the complexity of raids, a good amount even find them too easy nowadays. Just stop.

4 通の返信sonicBOOM5431により編集済み: 5/24/2021 6:38:15 PMIf you don't want mechanics, then raiding aint for you. That's literally the entrie point of raids. Mechanically challenged, teamwork, communication based encounters. If you want to just shoot things, just play literally everything else in the game. Besides, VoG is still incredibly simple and still one of the easiest raids in all of d2 even after the changes now that contest mode is gone. The raids a joke now

ImOnlyBleedingにより編集済み: 5/24/2021 7:00:07 PMThe mechanics are what separate raids from lower-tier content, like strikes or seasonal activities (i.e., Override) - they are an integral part of that tier of content. While there are examples of Destiny raids with simpler mechanics (Crota, Scourge, DSC), there are also much harder raids for mechanics (Kings Fall, Spire, Crown, Last Wish). For people that struggled on Day 1 with contest mode, give it another shot now that contest modifier is gone. I tried on Day 1 and my team got stuck at oracles, as we couldn't keep up with ads well enough to watch the oracles. Went back on day 2, and did it first try. As long as you have a high enough power level, the raid should be substantially easier than the day 1 experience.
