What is it with players wanting to bring all of D1 content into this game?
This is part of the reasons there isn't really any decent new content in this game. Just just recycled content and the rinse and repeat seasons that has left this game stagnant.

Kind of ironic, when you think about it. The same community that doesnt want recycled content, asks for the recycled content. "Community" in general, i know you and many others didnt ask for it to be back.

To be fair, they are letting the season content stay for the year, so thats quite nice. Thats the thing with vog. If they brought an entire raid back, who knows what they will next? On the other side, they did say they changed the raid, so i can be wrong. We will see this tomorrow.

VoG will always be THE PINNACLE raid for me, but it is still stale content regardless. If reanimating old activity excites anyone, then I don’t want to hear complaints about Eververse, PvP, stasis, weapon balancing or anything else. Enjoy mediocrity friends...

Because nostalgia is a one hell of a thing. If EA can charge $60 for a bundle of a game series thats over 10 years old AND when all their prices added together are 20 dollars. People will do anything for nostalgic stuff its crazy, and Devs take full advantage. Its only smart people who see what this really is.

D1 will always be the height of this franchise. I hate that Bungo is recycling content and I hate that they aren't putting in much effort in curating the franchise. Either they realized they peaked in D1 and are using that content to artificially lift up the content quality of D2 or they are out of idea and no longer give a shit but must keep this cash cow going. I believe it's a bit of both.

The game would have been far better off in Activision's hands.

I hate that they still treat the playerbase like guinea pigs. I hate this legendary/powerful/pinnacle engram shit. I hate that Eververse has become such a prominent fixture. Overall, I hate how neutered everything feels compared to D1.

I also am not sure how you're able to say d2 is neutered compared to d1 in the same sentence where you hate the prime/pinnacle system, something that d1 does worse. destiny 1 is a fun game to run back and forth to, but destiny 2 is the only one of them that's keeping me around.

Yes, it had its issues, but nowhere near to the point where Bungie removed half the game, we paid for. When it comes to the loot system, leveling, replayable content, skill tree, more freedom to use what we want to use, etc... even things like how IB was designed in D1 with the loot system is a hell of a lot better than the broken one we have for D2. Nothing personal but the "nostalgia" is used way too much when anyone brings up D1 when in reality D1 is actually the better game.

Most of them ignore all the times it nearly kamikazed itself at and best you get a few people admitting that it just had "issues".

D2 has some good things about it but the core game is broken and that is a huge issue. Bungie refused to use what worked for Destiny and in the process, the game has changed the way too many times making things overcomplicated when in reality all they had to do was... "keep it simple stupid".

Maybe you forgot these from d1: storytelling sucked, if you wanted to read lore, you had to go to an external site, same thing with public events, had to go to orbit every time, weapon and armor leveling system was terrible, rng for some weapons was worse than what we have now ( go ask how many ppl never got a vex mythoclast or got it years after vog 1st came out, long content droughts. I am not saying that d2 is better or d1 is better, but we humans tend to forget the bad parts of stuff after years go by and only focus on the good parts.
