Just wanted to ask if anyone knew how to find Bungie's current financial earnings?
I am a university student and was interested, in Bungie's financial performance and wanted to use them as a case study to better understand some of the different strategies in which game companies have used to makes their fiscal earnings. I am well aware that there are other companies (ones that is not privately owned) that I could use to make my little assignment. I just wanted to see if I could use Bungie as a case study and possible relay it back to them of what I found through examination of the financial report from a different viewpoint of a consumer, rather than a producer. Though then again I am a history student but still wanted to see if I can handle a little project for myself.
(If I can't get the report, well at least I asked)
(also sorry if I am a nuisance)

They are not required to publicly release financial statements. There are a few articles in the web that are ‘projections’ based on modeling from known factors,...but they are all still estimates. At the end of the day, there are some key things to remember about this industry: - It does not manufacture a physical product - Sales revenue targets are established as a front-loaded model - Maintenance and sustaining operational costs, including depreciation of Capital equipment expenditures, carry over a non-traditional model And there are a few more. I’m sure you’ll figure it out.

1 返信No idea what they actually make but these numbers might help Steam averages 50k daily players after the spikes from new events. Across all platforms it is reasonable to think there is at least 50k people that buy all the new DLCs and season passes, honestly there is probably a lot more. every 3ish? months a new $10 season pass comes out and twice a year a new $25-$40 DLC comes out. This means, if that 50k consumer number is correct then every year bungie makes about 5.5milion off of them. This would be a reasonable place to start. There really is no telling how much they make off of silver sales unless they tell us themselves and even the 5.5mil sounds to low to be how much they actually make in full.

They don’t, all they care about is your wallet and how to get the money from that wallet into theirs. They may give you a false sense that they care, but this is just another tactic to get your money into their wallet. The fact that you’re a university student and don’t already understand this should scare the rest of us for what our future could possibly hold.
