Bungie, PLEASE stop requiring heavy kills for the Iron Banner quest.
It's been garbage every time. It's never fun. I like getting heavy when I can, but whenever I *have* to hunt for it is a miserable experience. Every time.
EDIT: Yes I already got it done. It only took 2 matches. But as others said below the number of kills isn't really what's at issue, it's requiring heavy at all.

1 返信I absolutely agree with this. This is some of the worst game design I have ever experienced. Unless they start spawning us with heavy than the kill requirements need to go. PvP is already a horrible experience for any solo player that isn't a sweat. This just compounds that in IB. I have played 20+ matches and I have only been able to even get heavy ammo 1 time.

1 返信All the quest does is force players to focus only on the quest. The objectives for the quest deter players away from the game mode objective which is to play control. This hurts the team when the whole team is not focusing on the objective because Bungo designs a quest that does not match up with the overall team objective - WHICH IS TO PLAY CONTROL!!!!

1 返信I say there should be no quest activity even associated with Iron Banner. Iron Banner was just fine the way it was in D1 - you played, you did some bounties, you earned tokens and you got stuff from Lord Salad. And your second & third character got increased progress towards bounty completion.

The enemy guardian literally has to be weaken for the mele to kill. Whereas hunters have 2 mele charges they can throw for a kill and a titan has a power slide mele that kills. It may be my opinion but it doesn't seem balanced at all. *I just want to say thanks for the suggestions. It's appreciated. I usually run chaos or top tree solar with Ophidian Aspect with Steady Hand and Felwinters. I absolutely love this set up. My venting about the warlock mele was due to meleeing about 20+ guardians (with or without using the shotgun first) and only getting credit for 4 kills. It's only powered mele kills that count for the bounty.

Whew! When I first started D2 in the middle of season 12, I hated PvP. I'd jump in for a quest or bounty and that's it. I got burnt out with PvE during the guardian games and I started playing PvP with the last IB of season 13. Then I started playing more control matches. The match making is horrible but I decided to keep at it and try to improve. I decided to work on this quest and finally got it done today! I had problems with snipers but I loaded frozen orbit with targeting adjuster and it took quite a few matches. I had problems with HCs until I bought Ace of Spades (love that gun!). I inadvertently got the melee portion before I got to that step. The machine gun was just a problem getting heavy ammo and it took a few matches. I was robbed of a few kills with my super, tried chaos reach but finished with Dawnblade. Finishing this quest was like the heavens opened up! Not bad for an old fart.

The problem is not getting the 3 kills, its about getting the Heavy Ammo in the first place. It promotes camping the Heavy and not playing the actual objective. Like what TheColorTurkey has said. Its not fun to require Heavy Ammo. Its stressful and frustrating. Iron Banner is frustrating enough as it is. Requiring a game mechanic that is supposed to be a commodity is annoying game design.

3 kills :D i play PvP only for pinnancle rewards and i get that Done in 2 games...Where are those Times when People grinded for lunas howl,that was something...this community is lazier and lazier what would you like? Get it Done by participating?

8 通の返信Just ask whoever did your Trials for you to do the quest for you. I love how you have a 0.8 k/d average but in Trials you have a 2.6 k/d and 90% win rate.

I got it done easily thankfully, but the problem is that unlike everything else, both the enemy team and your own teammates can deny you the opportunity to even try to get it. And most of the times, the guys picking up heavy are using rockets lol. But yeah, it was easy for me this time, but the stars aligned and the enemy team started the game down 3 people, and reinforcements arrived right as my whole team got heavy ammo.
