Sanguine Alchemy was designed for a version of the Survival playlist where radar was turned off. That version doesn’t exist any more, so no one used it.
The current Sanguine Alchemy is very useful in pve solo play...in fact I won’t use Tommy’s Matchbook without it...and the new exotic boots shine in team play
So there is room for both....and which is better is more about how you play.
What we don’t need are one-size-fits-every-situation exotics that crush any real choice or build diversity.

Lol Tommy's and sanguine?? Just use devour and move on and out on something else. Bottom line is that this exotic and others( the majority of warlock) are sucky and way too weak. Theres no reason to run anything else outside of the same 4 we've been running. Bungie has little to no intuitiveness( is that a word?) when it comes to designing warlocks exotics. 9/10 they will just get swept under the rug once you realise it's not really providing anything new or interesting for you over your current options.

Abyssにより編集済み: 5/17/2021 11:13:49 PMI can easy say that it is very rare for Bungie to give a good neutral exotic, The majority of the warlock exotics that are good either require a certain subclass or do a certain thing and yet all it does it give us ability energy , or a neutral exotic that is considered "SO POWERFUL" on a warlock. wanna know why? its because there are no better options, Its the same why warlocks get shafted with subclass tuning. Can we get something for pvp that could be better than "increased movement speed" or "better handling" Or for pve? Lol guess ill run support well with luna faction boots. honestly the reason why I occasionally enjoy some time on my other characters is because there is so much more variety in the other two classes when with warlock its the same shit with varied mechanics for the most part, with very few outliers that if they were on the other classes would easily be disregarded as useless gear. In a perfect world yes i would run other things, but unfortunatly im the guy who has the boots, the divinty and the well on most of the time.

I mean I won't use Tommy's matchbook at all cause it's cheeks. Why worry about hurting urself when legendaries can do the same thing with a good roll. I got a chroma that has subsistence rampage, way better than Tommy's and no exotic slot wasted.
-
SA lets you drop a healing rift that eliminates the self-damage...and it lasts as long as you damage enemies. So TM becomes a solar AR with a VERY large magazine. Which is very powerful any time you need to defend a specific spot. If use it quite a bit if Bungie weren’t constantly manipulating the meta, and making sure that ARs are useless most seasons. The only thing keeping me from hauling it back out is that the combo of Lumina and the new exotic boots are borderline broken.
-
Broken as in allowing Lumina (a very underused/overshadowed exotic) to be used slightly more? Idk about you, but in strikes I’d rather use huckleberry/trinity or a exotic heavy. It’s a good synergy that’s identical to Thorn/Necrotic Grip. We need more of this
-
We don’t know how many have the new exotic yet....or played with it enough to understand how powerful it is. Or how many of those who have, are willing to play differently to leverage it. That is become primarily a support player as opposed to a damage-dealer.
-
I mean I'm using the new ar chroma rush I think. And it is overall better its like breakneck with no increase to rof. It have a very large mag and rampage is kept up so long with rampage spec. Why use Tommy's and waste the slot when u can have this roll of chroma and use anarchy at the same time.
What we don’t need are one-size-fits-every-situation exotics that crush any real choice or build diversity.
I agree to this, but we also don't need multiple Exotics that achieve the same effect through different methods - or worse, two Exotics where one is strictly better than the other, such as Crown of Tempests compared to Stormdancer's Brace.
-
True, but the situations boil down to "am I solo or do I have teammates?". The shared functionality is extended Rift duration, and the buff from Boots of the Assembler is one that your teammates will likely neither notice nor appreciate. I see no reason why the two effects couldn't be tweaked and combined, freeing up one of the items for a new purpose that doesn't have huge overlap with an existing item.
-
All I run now in override on my Warlock. Don't switch it up really for strikes or nightfalls. 98% of the people see whats going on and work within the range of the rift's bolts going out (I pick the best spots for it to work effienctly). But there always seems to be the odd Titan who just goes off alone, way far away, and dies alot.... *shrug*

Ranthop_IIにより編集済み: 5/16/2021 10:45:31 PMThere just aren't enough situations, I think, that allow this particular exotic to shine now. That's fine. If people like Sanguine Alchemy the way it is now then great. I will say that maybe there ought to be a buff. It used to be my favorite PvP exotic for competitive play, even way after the radar changes to Survival. I've since had to move on to other exotics. Not that there weren't many chose from. Was it right for Bungie to change one of my favorite ways to play, no. It wouldn't be right of them to do it again (even though I would love to revert that rework). So just a buff then.
