Boots of the Assembler: A Lumina users wet dream (review)
So after getting these boots... and playing with them a LOT... I wanna put my two cents in as someone who mains Well and Lumina.
So first things first, you do not need to use this on Well, but it pairs with Well just like Lumina's Noble Rounds do. So you'll get the benefit of Blessing of the Sky giving you back your ability energy.
So every time I popped my Well in Override... I spawned 3 Noble Rounds that would aggressively track my targets.
Problem I had... I was playing with randoms so I couldn't ask how much healing my Healing rift was doing... but both my healing and empowering rift did one key thing: As soon as a round went and touched an ally... it paused the rift timer. And if you're near a lot of teammates... you can have an infinite rift. Constantly popping out healing or damage orbs.
The damage is on par with Noble Rounds from my tests, which is a 20ish% damage buff. And that is just... well everyone can now more easily kill ads and champions, no one's gonna say no to a 20% buff that they don't have to work for in your team.
And also... I noticed, when my allies killed targets while under the effects of my exotic- enemies were dropping actual Noble Rounds... and my Lumina was picking them up.
Yes. You read that correctly... just like Thorn with Necrotic Grip, Lumina and Boots of the Assembler also combo off one another.
Something to take note of, yes this exotic works slightly when you use Well of Radiance. It won't slow the timer on your Well, but you'll still be popping out Rounds to those outside of the Well based on your Rift ability.
And like I said, these rounds are aggressive and track far. It also functions in PvP...
These boots... will never leave my legs. I am in love with this exotic.
EDIT: Further testing, it doesn't have to be your own Rift- it can be an allies rift as well and the effects will still activate.
Also, if you teammate or friendly is in your Rift, or standing in another rift... the rounds will not track onto them. It will just sputter out and do nothing.
Ah yes, yet another new warlock exotic/ability that stereotypical warlock mains whined about before they saw it in action. And now they've all slowly gone back in the shadows as they've jumped the gun yet again on drawing conclusions on something simply so they can say they got shafted again.
See you all again next season when it inevitably happens again because you never learn and just want to cry about everything because blah blah blah bungie wha wha wha warlocks bad blah blah.
*Note*this is not aimed at the entire warlock main community. Just the extremely vocal, incredibly annoying warlock mains that always have something to say on these forums. You're just as bad as the stereotypical whiney, nerf/buff seeking hunters of the same nature on these forums that make me not want to main hunter anymore.
