This exactly. I would love for someone to actually attempt to give a definitive explanation as to how they're being scammed by this process that isn't just them being frustrated by Bungie's process. Show me where you were promised something specific and given something else. Can't be done because that isn't what happened.

Well a scam implies that a person is decived in order to obtain something of value from that person. In this case Bungie created a grind heavy Transmog system that is capped in order to deceive or give the impression that it is easier to purchase the fast track with real money. We have unlocked all of this armor already, with most of it from payed seasons, so all they really had to do was add in the option to create an ornament from the collections menu and be done with it. I agree that we are not required to use Transmog, so it can easily be skipped. However, they could have just given the community a simple and free Transmog system, but they chose the path that funnels players to spend real money with a grid heavy capped system. Ubisoft added Transmog to Division 2 this summer and it is a simple, free complete system as a gift to the community after it was requested over and over. No grind, no items held back and no real money. If you earned it you can use it as an ornament. If Bungie did the right thing and used this methodology instead of money making approach there would be zero complaints

You weren't deceived. That premise is inherently false. We were told by Bungie that armor synthesis was going to be available for silver and that it would be available for free through in-game activities. That's all the specifics we were given before the system was revealed a few weeks back. There was literally zero deception there. There is no deception about how the system functions. It's definitely easier to purchase transmog supplies, no one has said otherwise. The question then becomes is it worth it to each individual player to purchase from EV or earn the materials in game. Again, no deception. You are correct that you have unlocked the armor in previous seasons, and you still have access to that through your collections. You didn't turn that armor into universal ornaments before now though, you earning the actual armor piece in the past doesn't automatically entitle you to those armor pieces as ornaments now. Yes the transmog system is geared towards encouraging people to use money for the easy route, but that's not necessarily a problem, that's just simple economics. If they had ONLY made transmog a paid process, then that would have actually been a problem for me. As the system stands now, it's not a scam, you just don't like they way they designed it.
