Bungie: “ok ok ok, we hear you”. *Puts hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions, in to developing transmog. Offers free path and paid path for COSMETICS*
Community: “waaaahhh waaahhhhh wahhhh, why isn’t everything free BUNGO?!?!??! We want everything unlocked on day 1!!!”

Necrogenにより編集済み: 4/27/2021 3:48:43 PMBack up a second. How hard is it to unlock all armor as ornaments and charge the player in game resources to change them? we already have the ability to change ornaments on any armor. There was no need for this "investment". This decision for transmog is about money. While they are a business and need to sell a product, they could sell us story content. Transmog does not need to be on the menu.
-
We already know the user interface is crowded. Resources are probably maxed out. Imagine the strain and lag on the UI if every armor piece was unlocked as an ornament. The lag is bad enough with shaders. I believe there is a technical reason behind the decision.

What you said was so stupid i cant comprehend how you dont see what you said is wrong, players asked for the transmog system because they call this game a MMO and all MMOs have a system like that, those games make it clear its a micro transaction you are supposed to do. Bungie made players believe this would be a free system when it came out and hid factors of it, and other games do not charge over $10,000 dollars in order to have all the cosmetics.
-
Why not wait to complain until you’ve used up your 20 unlocks? I doubt you’ll unlock more than 5. The system is fine for a majority of players, they are just too blinded by their Eververse rage to see it. Why not actually wait and see how the system works in practice before condemning it.
-
Because they already announced how the system works, if it’s described exactly how its being implemented why the hell would i need to actually use the system, im not a moron who cant read, Go read the TWAB again they describe exactly how the system works
-
How would you know how much it will cost? Also how would you know how hard it is to implement this into the game? The answer is you don’t. You are not a developer so you don’t know how long or hard something is to add to the game.
-
You're right, I don't know how much it would cost, all I'm saying is if it's cheap then that counters the argument and if it's that expensive then they shouldn't have bothered making it cuz they could put that money into something many more people would appreciate.

Avoodle Kadoodle Noodleにより編集済み: 4/27/2021 8:47:31 PMYou do realize that players have wanted transmog for years now right? It doesn’t matter how much it costed. They still need to make money on the product they made. Which is why there is a paid path for it. You’re not forced to use silver but it’s an option. Which is perfectly fine since if you use silver you’re supporting the company. Even if it costed basically nothing they still need to make money. This is how you stay a company by making money.

I would rather them put resources into something else rather than something I'll barely get use out of and will still cost them money. And it's not like Bungie isn't making money off of other things. I'm fine with a paid option for transmog as long as it isn't the primary way to use the system.

Avoodle Kadoodle Noodleにより編集済み: 4/27/2021 9:01:07 PMSo because you will barely use it means other people won’t? You saying this means you want things to be the way you want it. Which is not how things work lol. It’s also not the primary way to get the materials. You can either play the game and spend time getting the materials or you can use real money to get it. Either way there will be a cap of how much materials you can get per character. So next season you will be able to transmog 4 armor sets per character or 20 individual pieces per character. Which will be 12 armor sets or 60 individual pieces in total. Every season after season 14 will be 2 armor sets or 10 individual pieces. Which will be 6 armor sets or 30 individual pieces in total. This is why I don’t understand why people are complaining. The materials are not account bound they are character bound. Which means you will not be able to use the materials you get on your Hunter on your Warlock.
-
Nope, I can't spend time playing the game to get the materials, I have to wait to get the materials because of the seasonal cap. Earning the materials doesn't seem like it will take too long or be too difficult, but I can't keep working toward transmogging all the armor I want with this system. It also seems very likely that the Eververse synthweaves--specifically distinguished as "synthweave templates"--will be independent of the seasonal cap. In other words, after transmogging my 2 armor sets for the season on a given class, I have to pay money in order to transmog more, or else I will have to wait for the next season, in which case I will literally never be able to catch up with the new armor being added. The seasonal cap is the only thing I dislike about synthesis. It would be okay if you were limited to 100 armor pieces per season, or if you were limited to something like 5-10 armor pieces per week. It would be great if there were no cap at all. They could even just make it uncapped but take twice, or even thrice as many materials after the first 10 pieces in a season. But the way it has been laid out now is just unacceptable, especially seeing as many of us deleted some of our favorite armor pieces thinking we could just transmog them soon.
-
See, what I said there in my first sentence of my last reply was an exaggeration. Of course you can spend time in game each season to get the materials, and I absolutely will. I don't mind that, I just wish I didn't have to wait an entire season before being able to use even just 2 more sets of the armor I already own.

Avoodle Kadoodle Noodleにより編集済み: 4/27/2021 9:33:20 PMLike I said earlier you want things to be the way you want them. This isn’t how things work. You can say you want them to do this or that at the same time they don’t have to listen to you. So instead of saying “I want this or that” don’t say anything at all if that’s how you think. You don’t walk up to someone and say “I want you to act and do things this way”. That is how you want them to do it but they don’t have to listen to you.
