Everything we've earned since the beginning should be ornaments. Then when we acquire a new set of armor it should unlock the ornament for it.
I've been on a break playing OR since it's release, but I planned on returning for the next season super excited about transmog and the return of VoG. Now not so much. I'll jump on to beat the Vault a few more times with some old friends, but that's it.
To say I am extremely disappointed with their decisions on transmog is an understatement. It feels like Destiny is slowly turning into a micro transaction mobile game that requires you to pay to play. Not a good look for a AAA developer like Bungie.

I mean...did anyone expect transmog to work as a "everything is unlocked" feature? I'm pretty sure, when they first talked about it, they said it would take an item. The cap doesn't make sense to me. But the need to grind for an item or buy it with silver was something I ALWAYS expected. Personally, it doesn't bother me. I don't know that there are more than 2 sets in this game that are worth transmoging.

5 通の返信"_____ is a great idea, but poorly implemented" should be Bungie's slogan/motto at this point.

Can’t give Bungie credit for the idea, since it’s A) been requested by players since the days of D1, and B) has been done countless times in other MMO’s. So really, they can only take credit for the “poorly implemented” part.

1 返信
Destiny the franchise is great idea, but poorly implemented.
Fixed it!

Its not poorly implemented. Its exactly how they planned it to be. A lazy easy cash grab to force us to rebuy content we've already earned. If I could grind for it all fine, I'd be playing the game, something I enjoy so that's no problem but time gating materials so I am forced to go to eververse? Thats a snide move and leaves a bad taste.

18 通の返信I love the fact that everyone player thinks the world is free and everything is just rainbows and butterflies. Bungie devs have families too.

3 通の返信Isn’t that how a lot of things work in this game? Sunsetting-good concept, poorly implemented Stasis-cool idea, terribly implemented (PvP) Umbral engrams-good idea, poorly implemented Guardian Games-fun idea, but boring Seasonal challenges-great idea, but debatably worse for F2P players. I’m worried now that something like crossplay will be locked behind a paywall or only work for next gen consoles. I’ve been looking forward to crossplay forever now, but I’m worried. Also, would like to see some QoL changes for controller players like a traction option and ADS multiplier.

2 通の返信I’m out here wondering if we’re playing the same game. I don’t think I can think of 20 armor pieces I would want to transmog next season. Armor in this game isn’t very good tbh. There are a few that I like and I’m excited to transmog those pieces. Besides that 10 per season should keep me happy for the most part.

1 返信This was going to happen no matter what, it’s bungie we’re talking about. At this point they’re synonymous with EA/Activision. 🤷🏻♂️

1 返信It’s becoming a like a mobile game on console. I don’t even keep pay to play games on my phone- you think I need it on my console? Lol

6 通の返信It's time to bail. I never wanted microtransactions. I wanted a videogame, not a cashshop. I'll pay for a game, but not microtransactions. You want this system? Then that's what they'll give you. Game has changed. They've made it into a mobile free to try version with microtransactions not associated with the game. I'm just here to play a game. This is not it. If you like it, stay and let them milk you. If you don't, it's time to bail. This game won't change, it's a Milking Cow. I also want transmog and shaders, but not like this. Let's bail. It's time to go.

1 返信“____ is a good idea but poorly implemented” could be painted on the wall at the Bungie offices.

It’s a money thing for bungie. Hopefully community stands together and not buy anything that way it will fail and they will have to readdress it again. I really wanted this system just being capped I’d so bad going to take years to get everything so I’m sure a lot of people will just give up on whole thing unless they rethink there ideas. But if people buy into this we are all screwed. I won’t be wasting my money on it

1 返信"Great idea". Transmog isn't an idea. It's standard. And it's free. Until Ubisoft and Bungie have decided to nickel and dime over it. Yet Bungie found an even greedier way to do it than Ubisoft. In that respect, it's a great idea. The only innovative parts of this are the parts that make it bad. When a company is investing time and money into making a system worse for the player than ever before, then you knoelw how they view you. Cattle.

2 通の返信Honestly after playing Final Fantasy 14 and how it handles its transmog, it baffles me that Bungie decided to transmog this way. Sure FF14 is a subscription service game but even then I don't think it would be much of a stretch to allow than 10 measly slots for us to customise, especially given how many armour sets there are in the game and will be in future. I'd expect maybe 30 or even 50 if you wanted to stretch it out since whilst I agree a line needs to be drawn somewhere, the line Bungie drew is way too short.
