As you guys at Bungie know, King of the Hill was a popular mode in Halo, almost as popular as Team Deathmatch. I think that King of the Hill would be a great addition to the Crucible and would see a lot of play. However the issue around this is the maps in Destiny 2 are primarily orientated towards Control and Clash. However this is my suggestion for a King of the Hill type mode, which I call Take and Hold.
This is how Take and Hold would work. It can be done on any map that Control is played on.
- There is one Capture zone which would normally be where B is during a game of control.
- The central Capture zone is larger than the control zones in Control, being about twice the size.
- There are two secondary objectives called Blocking zones. These would be where A and C would normally be on a map and are the same size as the Control zones in a game of Control.
- Kills still score a point like they do in other game modes.
- If a team holds the main Capture zone and neither team controls the Blocking zones they score 2 points for every 10 seconds that they hold the Capture zone.
- If a team controls the Capture zone and both Blocking zones then they score 2 points for every 10 seconds that they hold the Capture point.
- If the enemy team controls one of the Blocking zones whilst a team controls the Capture zone and the other Blocking zone, or the other Blocking zone has not been seized, then they only score 1 point for every 10 seconds that they hold the Capture point.
- If the enemy team controls both Blocking zones then the Capture point is blocked and a team will not score any points for controlling the Capture point.
- The enemy team scores 1 point for every 10 seconds that they are blocking the Capture point.
- The first team to 125 points wins the match.
The idea is that this mode can be played on any map where Control is played and revolves around taking and holding the Capture zone. However a team cannot just camp on the Capture zone, they also have to prevent the enemy team from blocking them meaning that it then becomes easier for the enemy team to rush the Capture zone and take for themselves.
Overall it makes for a very fluid game mode that is very fast paced. I think that it would be a great idea to try out in Crucible labs if you ever bring it back.
As for maps I think that Endless Vale, Altar of Flame, Vostok, Altar of Flame, Wormhaven and Cauldron would be perfect maps to try this out on as the areas that B are on are quite large and the Capture zone would easily fit in them.

5 通の返信Sounds like control but stressful, don’t get me wrong I like the concept but in practice we already have issues with people playing zones and also bubble titans
