A few hours after a less than successful Trials run, with less salt in my veins, I'm thinking back on what was going on. 120s, Stasis, and Cauldron being awful were at the forefront, but two of those are being addressed (if not a touch slowly, but hey, progress is progress), and I will begrudgingly admit the third is just an opinion.
But the biggest issue? Player after player after player had more kills with their [i]special[/i] than their [i]primary[/i], by a significant margin. Now I do not want Y1D2, and I do not want endgame D1. Those were both too little special, and it led to massive slowdowns in gameplay and camping waiting for ammo. But, what we have is the complete opposite side of the spectrum where specials have usurped the position as the primarily used weapons instead of, you know, primaries.
What I want is what we have right now, but just half. Spawn in with one ammo, get one ammo from a brick. Special will still be prevalent, but myself and other players might have to (god forbid) use our brains to decide if the situation we're in is special enough to warrant the use of some of our limited ammo weapons.

3 通の返信Players will ALWAYS use the META. Regardless of the slot its in. And you will still die. ALOT. So whats the difference? All im asking for is the stupidest perk ever...SLIDESHOT...be removed. Try it in real life, please record it for the masses and then upload it for all to see the result.

2 通の返信You are in the wrong game, then. The maps and primary weapon TTK make the game heavily favor special weapons. Don't blame the players, blame Bungie for their design. This is what they want. Just look at the maps. They ALL favor shotguns and hand cannons. This game is a one trick pony.

5 通の返信If you want to win, use the meta! Cant get angry when getting owned by meta weapons. I do however believe there should at least be multiple viable weapons and archetypes over just one. The special spam is ridiculous and 120’s are the only viable choice for any situation. Thats where my issue is, I don’t mind metas and I don’t care for Them but it really doesn’t hurt to have multiple weapons compete with said meta.!

It was an iron banner match too. Unfortunately that map is craps and kind of requires a shotgun. I don't like being forced to use certain weapons with such a variety at my disposal. I despise the special weapon, ability spam, stasis meta, but I acknowledge that you need to use it in high tier crucible. Im not great at pvp and I don't pretend to be, but if there were a more diverse meta I'd play crucible more. Right now, its kind of a chore but its fun sometimes.

18 通の返信Ok so I’m sick of gamers complaining about dying to this or that... special ammo isn’t the issue...120’s aren’t the issue.....felwinters isn’t the issue. Play style game sense and mistakes are the issue. If you are playing trials and you keep getting killed by shotgunners you probably should play back a bit farther or don’t push by yourself. If you see the other team is wearing mobility exotics and running shotguns......guess what....they are gonna come after you big time. So don’t play right next to the door they can come flying through. Now mistakes happen. I’ve misread the radar a ton and blasted through a door only to be met by two gamers instead of one...it happens. Quit complaining about everything that you die to and accept that you should get better at the game. Practice makes perfect or something like that. Best of luck

1 返信Agree. Not y1 but something in between would be good. There are people with 30+ special weapon kills per match and 0 kinetic. Special ammo should be limited per player and match. F.e. 10 shotgun rounds per match, like that you could do 10 kills with special and the rest you'd need to do with your kinetic and/or heavy/abilities.

A brief flash (only a couple frames) will show opponents thr direction the hunter is telepoeting -stasis slide titan (I have no idea who thought this was a good idea just have them slide for a shatter, no need to increase slide speed.) This would hopefully slow down shotgunners as they abuse the above. Also disable scavenger perks in pvp or reduce ammo to the following. And make double scavengers not work in pvp. (Double scavenger is mostly a pc issue as traction is used by alot of console players, this limits them to one scavenger) -1 if picking off the ground with no scavenger. No matter how much ammo the body had. -2 for one scavenger -2 for double scavenger Shotguns -Now have a uniform pellet spread. Similar to Apex Legends. No pellet rng. A graph of what the spread will look like will be displayed and various barrels affect the spread differently. -Felwinters lie will still have the tightest spread of any pellet shotgun. Bastion -slight delay between firing shots or Increased charge time. [spoiler]also please give us new or even good d1maps. Asylum was a fan favorite, skyshock was a great large map as well. For regular 6v6 you can just get rid of some of the plane area, the map is still very long range. If combined arms returns you can bring back the whole map. Frontier would be a great map. [/spoiler]

How one attains more ammo will depend on the game mode. For death match and domination like gamemodes (been a fat min don’t remember the names) special ammo boxes will periodically spawn so that people can top off the ammo that they’ve used. Each player will continue to spawn with 2 rounds to counter the apes that camp the ammo, and only one player can grab the ammo box at a time. This harkens back to D1 somewhat where map control and knowledge were moderately more important than shotty go brrt while also not completely destroying special ammo rarity like D1Y3/4 For trials, and other elimination game modes whichever team gets wiped should respawn with 2 rounds of special, where as the winning team will only have the ammo that they had at the end of the previous round. No special ammo boxes will spawn in these modes. This would place the underdogs in a better position and force the winners to play a bit more carefully.

Nothing will be done about them, there’s not tooooo much that can even be done about them. Only solution is to add them back to Heavy/Power weapons. Maybe you can leave exotics or such out. But still. Only fix I see really...

Felwinter's is totally busted out the wazoo, but the special ammo isn't really the problem, more the weapon itself (which is getting nerfed). We all know what it was liking having no special in D2 year 1. I'd rather get cross mapped by Felwinter's any day of the week as opposed to reducing special...
