Solo Queue Gambit
What are you waiting for Bungie? Gambit was heavily downgraded when Beyond Light was launched, playing against a full team who clears the match in no time makes Gambit a terrible experience.
Before removing elements make sure the tradeoff isn't negative.

I play a lot of gambit and like the one and done mode, but it's been a hot mess for a while. In the past week, an invisible knight remained on the field keeping the bank closed the whole game. 0 motes banked by our team. I killed a hydra yesterday and a high value target and all the motes just disappeared. The knights glitch so much they're difficult to kill and if you have more than one, forget it. The maps are boring and small with the invaders being able to spawn kill you again after they take you out the 1st time. Players constantly going for 15 and getting killed before banking, players afk or just jumping through the portal only to get killed repeatedly. I invaded yesterday and popped a rocket launcher twice in between 2 players, neither one died but took me out across the map with a pistol. Got to the point I hopped into crucible to relax...............and I'm not a crucible person lol

Ugh the fact you don't gain any rank at higher levels on losses encourages preforms. Really punishing to the solo players. I think they should address rank gained by tieing it to the points you score every game. Score more gain more rank. Gambit just doesn't have the population to be splitting playlists with a solo que.

4 通の返信I play solo & I've been of the opinion (for a very long time) that solo q'ing is auto loss. I'm cool with it. I'm there for bountys & pinnacle (my hunter is 1310 now so he doesn't go near it) 1 good invasion can basically win a game. Revenant hunter with Eyes or Truth invades & it's game over. There is literally no way to make a comeback. So the win/loss is jus arbitrary now. It's of no consequence. Tho it is fun when 4 solos destroy a clan stack 🤔

Gambit was lauded as the next great Destiny game mode and they literally flipped it the bird and left it for dead. I miss the armor and the perks they gave - made for some strategy and the potential that a group of randoms could compete well against a 4 stack if they spec’d out right. I miss the strategy of taking down the boss, and how tanky it was. The current primeval is a b!T€H in every sense of the word that can be rolled over in a few seconds with the right load out. And I’m sick and tired of fighting the G0d@mn meatball. It’s a shitty, tedious boss fight. Invading is weak now. They give you terrible spawn points and it enough time to work it. For teams with randoms, the inadvertent window length made matches winnable. Stasis is straight up dog $H!T. IDC what anyone says .... I really miss old gambit and gambit prime.

1 返信It’s hell solo queueing, I’m at legend and experience the same thing you’re getting, stacked teams of 4, horrible blueberry randoms, rigged gamemode after all...I feel your pain :(

1 返信Solo queue is fine, win some and lose some, finish the bounties and done! Gambits fun, thinking about winning isn’t! I’ll also add the obvious, Malfeasance and Vigilance Wing both decimate invaders/Invading and if you learn the game mode properly instead of having tunnel vision it’s easy to know where the invaders are coming from and gambit also rewards one of the best rocket launchers, hand cannons and scout rifles for the game mode! Also checking team members builds and changing up your own can also bring more to the table instead of sticking to what you want, it’s the difference between getting a win or loss and the rest is down to chance!

I played a near full reset last weekend - solo, 2, 3 and 4 stacked over the course of it. The only time I saw a 4 stack was when I was in a 3 stack, we played them twice. First game they won narrowly, second match we absolutely steamrolled them. Thats always been my experience of the mode tbh. 4 stacks just dont seem as common as people make out on here.

Queue the folks saying, "But this is a multiplayer game. I just wanna play with my friends". But what they really mean is, "I want to group up with three other fully loaded killers and only play against a pickup group of solo losers". I see you...

Only 10% of games, at most I seen, I am against another team of 4. Gambit sucks and only puts a 4 stack against solos. My worst games I played were wins cause of the sole fact we were 4 people communicating, coordinating and etc. Even when I am dying every 2 seconds, and playing my worst seen gameplay. You have 4 people telling each other they need you to pick up the motes spawning cause they can't get all them. No wasting time having multiple people go to portal instead of killing adds cause someone calls out invading. Call outs of exactly where the enemy invader is resulting in less deaths........ a million reasons running a 4 stack against solo randoms is a trash game mode.

4 通の返信And since the specific Gambit armour sets were scrapped, I wish that motes created would appear like ammo bricks. I.E, only you can see and collect motes that you create. I'm sick and tired of getting 40-50 kills and only being able to bank 15-20 motes due to thieving little huntards coming out of their hidey holes and stealing the results of my hard work.

Gambit is the least loved of Bunjie. Look at the multiple options of Crucible and Vanguard. Gambit has none of those and the mote access is tricky at best. It's my favorite but it has severe issues! Motes not getting picked up, invaders up the wazzu, some enemies easier than others. I grin when the Cabal comes up... Except for the turrets. They suck as much as shriekers and ogres. Could we have limited ammo on those?

I’d be down for it. Tho I will say as a solo player I’m 50/50 against stacks. Communication can only compensate so much for skill. There have been quite a few times of steamrolling teams of 3 or 4. I typically play invader tho so if my randoms only have 2 brain cells shared between them and can’t get us the first invade then it’s an uphill battle
