@Bungie, time to fix a mistake
No, this post isn't about sunsetting, its about rank up packages.
Its time to restore rank up packages to +0.
The -20 drops from Vanguard, Crucible, and Gunsmith are embarrassing.
When you are 1310 and the loot is dropping 1290 its a slap in the face.
If this idea was to gatekeep drops to keep the hamster on the wheel it is no longer necessary.
If we are not going to have 60+ power grind every season any more there is no reason to keep this ideology.
In D1 our rank up packages were powerful and helped you reach max power.
We have enough powerful and pinnacle sources but show some dignity and at least keep those relevant with a +0

5 通の返信Rank up rewards definitely need to be looked at. I am ok with weapon drops at -20 power since there is a chance to get one with a god roll, so at least it isn't a complete waste since you can infuse. The armor on the other hand is literally pointless since its never high stats (that I have seen anyway) AND its -20 power, so its an instant dismantle. If they are going to continue to drop armor at -20 power then that armor needs to have a decent chance to have high stats, anything to keep armor from being a blind instant dismantle would be nice. The one thing that annoys me more though is pulling exotic weapons out of collections at the base DLC power (currently 1100). There is absolutely no reason to not revert that back to being -20 power. Now I have to hang on to them in my vault (taking up valuable space) so I don't have to infuse them all the time.

1 返信Agreed. Once the raid race is over, it could have gone back to normal. I don’t even bother with taking my packages from shaxx or Drifter anymore.

They basically ruined vendors in D2 from the start and they've only gotten worse from the arbitrary nerf to -20 gear and decrepit lootpools further diluted from world-drops. Banshee getting that little kiddie bandaid thrown on him is basically signaling that he'll probably never get a real fix. Underleveled drops are like the tip of the iceberg for just how bad Vendors are in D2. We'd literally need an entire Season focused around fixing the vendors and I'm pretty sure it won't even include the Faction vendors people want to return. I'd imagine there wouldn't even be a real story to it either or it would be a sad little cobbled grindfest. Which I wouldn't mind if it was that big of an improvement and it tided everyone over until Witchqueen because of the delay. But I suspect it will be either in Witchqueen or after if we ever see a rework. [spoiler]At first I liked the idea of playlist weapons. But then I realized they were unjustifiably rare in Vanguard and Gambit, had massive perk-pools so good rolls were even rarer, and to boot they add weapons to the playlist-unique loot each season so the chances of even getting the weapon you want is rare in itself. All of this avoiding the Vendors as a whole, thus Sunsetting the Vendors in themselves.[/spoiler]

2 通の返信I also think that once you hit the level cap, all your drops should be automatically at level cap. There's no reason to have to hoard infusion fodder all the time.

I have 200 engrams from shax I haven’t even bothered to collect. I don’t need any materials or anything as am not a big spender. I wish we could turn the post master off when just playing crucible or strikes and then turn it back on when doing nightfalls and what not.. stop it filling up with useless umbrals and blues

1 返信They need to fix collections as well. You should be able to grab a "usable" exotic weapon whenever you want one without needing to infuse it.

Now that seasons are changing to only a +10 [i]pinnacle [/i]grind each season, and marks are being removed and replaced with the new rank up system I agree they might as well just drop at our current power level. That way the gear would still be usable without requiring upgrade modules and we couldn't just farm control matches to hit pinnacle cap. At the same time, I mean it's not like upgrade modules are rare now with so many sources to get them from so, honestly doesn't bother me. It's not like you're going to use every single item Shaxx gives you, only upgrade god roll armor or weapons, everything else is free shards.
