Getting duplicates from Xur's Fated Engram
I own every expansion and I still have a lot of weapons that haven't been unlocked yet. The only armor pieces I don't have yet on the character I always open them in is the Mantle of Battle Harmony and Dawn Chorus.
In theory I should be getting non-duplicate exotics like the Polaris Lance (which I have not yet unlocked) from Xur, but instead he gave me Necro Grips (I have a pair already) and Karnstein's Armlets (also owned).
Am I missing something? I wanted to max all the armor exotics on a character and open engrams on that character just so I could get weapons only from Xur's engram. Did I misunderstand how these exotic engrams work?

6 通の返信DefyFlyにより編集済み: 4/2/2021 9:44:27 PMHi there. Xür will award any exotics you haven’t earned if they aren’t required to be obtained from lost sectors. Since Beyond Light, all new exotic armor must be obtained in lost sectors. Xur will not reward any of those exotics from the fated engram until you unlock them and have all other exotics unlocked. The reason you aren’t getting Polaris is because it came from a quest and the quest has been removed. You must now acquire (buy) the weapon from exotic kiosk at the tower. That is now the only way to acquire it. Hopefully that all makes sense.
