What planet are you from?
CBMM has so many benefits
The matches are like 3 orders of magnitude less laggy
And matchmaking is near instant which is much better than the several minutes it was with SBMM
The ONLY benefit SBMM brings to the table is it makes the lobbies more friendly towards casuals
And a simple lobby balancing change for CBMM would help alleviate most of the issues there anyway
SBMM in destiny is shit for 6v6

You are one a few people seeing less lag and I’d be interested to know your latency. I have latency of 15ms. The majority of players are running 50-100ms. I get dumped into lobbies of players around 50-100ms I get punished for having good internet. Matches take 5 to 10 minutes with multiple errors and drop outs during matchmaking. So all these benefits you speak of are only open to players with average internet. People with good internet get punished.

SuperAngrySnowmanにより編集済み: 4/2/2021 6:26:38 AMYour ping to a Steam server is irrelevant. It matches you to people via peer to peer so one can ever know who has what ping. Only if is it's a laggy mess or not. Currently I'd say 8 out of ten are bad. Your Speedtest.net test is even more irrelevant as it only shows you your ping to your local server. Not even the ping to the Steam setup that does the matchmaking for lobbies. I think SBMM should be back, sounds like what they had before had no flexibility in matchmaking or the skill gap between the top tier players and everyone else was way too wide. They should be matching first by ping, then by SBMM. As it is now often you get games with people from other Continents and the top 2 players on each team are the only ones who get kills and are having fun. The SBMM should be organized so that if it was cut into 3rds of the player base that would give enough players to have shorter Queque times and make games competitive. I was playing with a buddy, a fps veteran since the Halo 1 days. We hadn't played much since the Osiris expansion disaster. We were having fun playing the game and exploring new content. Until we played Crucible. He quit after 2 games.. Hasn't played Destiny since. Someone at the bottom of the SBMM shouldn't be playing against someone at the top. People like to say it's "Casual".. Complain that top level SBMM was "Too Sweaty"... What do you think the experience in a "Casual Game" for someone who has no gear, no Adept Igneous Hammer or Felwinters Lie or Armour that has any stats over 25 total for each category is like? Every F^&king game for them is Sweaty as F&**k. Cry me a river that top tier players can't play against their own level with people that have access to all the best gear. That says to me it's the gear advantage that they need to win. Not their skill level.

Learn to read dipshit “Top” players play against each other all the time They play comp at probably 5x the rate of “casuals”. And in that playlist it’s sweaty ass hell. And the only thing you see is the meta to the maximum. They play organized scrims, hell I can name friends participating in or organizing small prize pool tourneys. You don’t see casuals playing comp and you definitely don’t see them doing scrims So please tell me more about how the “sweats” (a group literally named after high intensity organized scrim play). “Just want it easy”

"The sweats just want it easy" is the default argument from anyone wanting SBMM back because they have almost no other argument. I understand wanting SBMM back for sure, it makes things better for some other players out there but they don't have any care at all for how that affects anyone else and to that extent, they also believe the same of everyone else.
