So we traded simple Weekly Bright Bounties for Weekly challenges that last the entire season. Fair enough.
But why are some of these challenges tie to stuff like:
Masterworking Armor
Getting the Seasonal Ritual weapon and it ornament
And the most Annoying so far
5 Gambit Ranks + Grandmaster Nightfall
I thought the idea of these were supposed to replace the Weekly Bounties not give us that want to earn some Cosmetics a massive Headache?
Speaking for myself: I hate using Grenade Launchers which is why i mostly ignored this season's ritual grind. Now I scrambling to earn a weapon and skin I'LL NEVER USE. Seriously I'll just delete it when I'm done.
Masterworking Armor? Fine but that's only because I manage to save up enough currency. Others Like new Players will not.
I can Tolerate a few games of Gambit here and there despite Hateing the Gamemode. But asking me to play enough to Rank Up 5 times is asking a lot.
I never liked the idea of Grandmaster and never will. Why go thru all that headache for a measly 150 BD payout?
All for the Promise of a huge Bright Payout at the end of Week 10/End of Season?
You asking to much for too little here Bungie.
The Tasks should reflect the Payout!

9 通の返信I’m sorry, how come GM Nightfall you found annoying? It’s very fun activity with very good reward, you can farm Exotic Armor b for better roll,Masterwork Material,Adept Weapon and Super Fun Activity, Ok maybe not all of them (FU Corrupted and Glassway) but mostly pretty easy to complete if you know what the best load out to use. You just have to try and try

2 通の返信Starliteにより編集済み: 3/19/2021 3:34:13 PMThey are called seasonal CHALLENGES not seasonal CHARITIES. If you want the xp/dust from them then play to accomplish it, if it's not worth your time or don't wanna do them then don't. No game is gonna be tailored 100% to you unless you make it yourself. The seasonal challenges have a lil bit for everybody: - Love PVP? there are glory, iron banner and trials challenges - Love gambit? there are challenges for that - Love to just play the campaign or missions? plenty of those as well - PVE main? Also lots of dif types. You can always just pay $ to buy the ornaments you want if you don't wanna grind for dust. It's literally that simple.

3 通の返信I have enjoyed completing these challenges so far but I am a bit disappointed that the GM nightfall has been included as this requires teams, not only to achieve the light limit but also to complete the nightfall.
-
1 返信Gambit ranks aren't a problem in itself. It's the fact it wasn't retroactive. That, and being at the higher ranks takes longer to rank up as well as maxing out Legend rank to reset it.
-
9 通の返信Tbh the only ones that bug me are the GM nightfall completion (not for the completion itself but the fact that Grandmasters are lightgated to 1325) and Trials wins. Everything else I don't have much of a personal issue with even if I don't enjoy many of the pvp triumphs.

Im enjoying it, all you gotta is basically just play the game. The challenges are mostly easy and I’m fine with missing out on a couple pf the harder ones. The season pass itself grants a ton of bright dust, this is the most bright dust I’ve ever had so I’m totally fine with the current way bright dust works.

I’m curious where most people got this far fetched idea that the season challenges are the weekly challenges. If you are comparing the pass weekly bounties we had. They are still there. They just have been combined and at their designated vendor. Originally 2 weeklies provided 400 bright dust, reduced to 200 bright dust earlier this year and now reduced to 120. That there is now the new weekly bright dust. Along with the unchanged repeatable bounties. The season challenges are an addition that was added to the current weekly and seasonal offerings. So where is everyone getting this....common theme it being a replacement from? Especially if they open their eyes to noticed that a good portion of the seasonal challenges don’t offer anything but experience as a reward. I get that people want to feel accomplished but the arguments and stress people are putting on themselves to complete this, even calling out how “stupid” bungie’s actions are is a head scratcher. They all are optional, the bright-dust is solely for vanity purposes and the lot of you losing your damn minds because of what a grandmaster? I managed to get a flawless run. Did many of you even bother trying to attempt it? I mean it’s available until May for those not yet leveled...

1 返信The weeklies bounty got replaced by the weekly bounty done for this vendor While I agree the GM triumph is out of place compared to the other 1...comp didn't required wins, trial will only need 7 round wins
-
4 通の返信Because they are not replacements for weekly bounties. They are a new system that also awards bright dust and XP. And weekly bounties still exist.

If you compare the old system to the new system, the new system is much more user friendly and doesn't require the repetitive grind of core game modes week over week like in the past. You need to keep in mind that these challenges are over the course of the entire season, not just a single week. The only way the new system is less effective than the old system in terms of Bright Dust is if you did all Weekly Bounties on all characters every week of the season, which I would consider to be "a massive Headache" as you put it. Let's review some examples you listed above:
Masterworking Armor
While I agree not all players have large stacks of masterworking materials, you get materials for free from the Season Pass, plenty to masterwork a piece of gear.
Getting the Seasonal Ritual weapon and it ornament
The number of kills required to get this is not excessive at all, especially over the course of the entire season. I got the weapon itself pretty much by accident in the first week just playing the game normally, the cosmetics can be a little annoying, but do not take long to do, especially if you complete them while playing for Powerful/Pinnacle rewards.
5 Gambit Ranks
It's funny that you think this one is outrageous. If you were playing Gambit every week on all 3 characters for Weekly Bounties, this should be very easy to complete.
Grandmaster Nightfall
Completely understand not everyone plays GM Nightfalls or Trials, this is why you only need 75/77 Challenges complete in order to get the 4k BD bundle at the end of the season. If you don't want to do a GM, don't do it, although it is actually very easy this week. I don't know about you, but I've actually gotten a ton of Bright Dust in the past couple seasons with the changes they've been making, I'm glad we are finally getting away from the Bounty grind and can just play the game naturally to get rewards.

2 通の返信You lost me at “i don’t like grenade launchers...” Salvagers salvo, once you learn to use it, is one of the most fun weapons in the game. Stuff just literally gets annihilated. Take some time to practice with it. Did you know that you can hold the trigger and then release it exactly when you want the grenade to detonate?
-
5 通の返信You get about 600 bright dust per week, per account assuming you do all the challenges. The old system paid out better in terms of bright dust, but we all know how much the community complained about even doing weekly bounties. Weekly challenges are just weekly bounties but repackaged. And yet somehow, it was good enough to actually fool players into doing it. This system benefits the casual players who only work on 1 character. It severely nerfs bright dust gains for players on 3 characters. If you were a casual player, good for you. For the rest of us players who actually played the game, thanks for screwing up our bright dust gains.

Challenges are divided in order to offer a "challange" to every kind of players. Some are pretty easy and open to everyone, others are long and grindy and others are aimed for more dedicated players. To be honest, I think that so far Bungie did quite a good job managing them. Just my opinion tho.

5 通の返信Its 300 bright dust for GM Just wait till Fallen saber GM lands it will be easy with hardly any effort for prep We got at least 3 more double and triple infamy weeks n weekends in the next 52 days easily achievable 5 ranks of gambit Whether we wanted it or not.....there will always be content you like or dislike
-
The challenges aim you at all the content in the game, if you don’t want to do them then no one is forcing you to do so. If you want the rewards then you’ll do the challenge. It’s pretty simple. Otherwise you’ll end up with generic bland challenges that would be the same as the bounties were. The bounties also refreshed but you could not hold 2 of the same, the challenges last all season and can be done at anytime. Stop moaning for the sake of moaning.
-
4 通の返信Not sure if you knew this or not, but it’s completely optional. You could only complete the ones you want to. Or, even better, none at all.

4 通の返信Ferus Luxにより編集済み: 3/19/2021 4:45:11 AMYou can get more bright dust than you ever could and a majority of these are easy. Wtf is wrong with this community lol even if you dont get the big payout at the end you'll end up with more than ever.
