Give options/alternatives for catalyst completions
So this mainly runs along the line of “why are guardian kills required for most seasonal catalysts?”
I’m a pretty big advocate for not playing pvp as a personal preference but also I actually don’t think pvp really belongs in this universe (IMO). But we’ve had it before where you could do one or the other in the same quest chain. I wouldn’t care if I had to reset completions of certain activities if I didn’t have to play pvp at all that would be preferred. I would rather kill 500-1000 enemies than kill any guardians in pvp.
Suggestion to devs would be give alternatives to these catalysts because clearly you are giving old catalysts new life. (Just dropped sleeper stimulant in a strike the other day and that was from prestige spire before it was removed. All I need now is 300 kills) Would also help with players just joining the game after a particular season when that seasons bonuses are no longer available.

5 通の返信Well they had something like that but then the crucible/gambit population fell out so now we're back to play their way.

1 返信Notice how catalysts have changed so that you have to do this number of kills and activities just to get the catalyst, so that you can then go and kill this number of whatever to complete the catalyst. They've doubled up on catalyst requirements so they can inflate time played. Pretty slimy.

I'm not going to argue against the point that you're making about Cats, but I do have to state that Crucible is 100% a part of this game. It's written into the lore and the reason why it even exists is so Guardians can practice their skill against each other in an arena where they're safe for resurrection's. Even people like Cayde and Ikora and Zavala practice their skill in The Crucible. To remove the Crucible would remove a crucial part of the destiny lore and story. Good luck with the grind.

1 返信Definitely looking forward to getting my 88 Guardian kills to finish Witherhoard's catalyst. I finally finished my Eriana's Vow quest two weeks ago after stopping at about 220 when it was in season. If only the quests were like the Duality one where it counted your teammates kills in crucible.

Some rewards should push you out of your comfort zone. This is a good thing. Load up some Control, stick close to your teammates, and shoot at the same bad guys they do. You can do it, even with a bow.

I am bad in PvP either. And it is tedious as a below average player to get these kills. But so far I managed in all season pass seasons to get weapon, catalyst and masterwork. Ticuus' also. Just don't do it all at once, every day a bit. And personally I believe competitive is more forgiving than e. g. control. Got also a few kills in mayhem. Patience and you get it. Good luck!

26 通の返信none of the requirements are difficult. they can be worked on at your own pace. they are the same across the board, meaning everyone has the same requirement. it's a part of the game you are playing. you disliking a part and not doing it only holds you back, and isn't a reason for concession. if you want it do it. don't want to do it, you eliminated your own argument of not having them done. you made a choice to not do it.
