Sheesh. From the 1/28 TWAB
Since you no longer have to purchase weekly ritual bounties, each of the strike, Crucible, and Gambit Seasonal Challenges will award between 75 and 300 Bright Dust. We are also introducing an end-of-Season Bright Dust bonus – if you complete (nearly) all of the Seasonal Challenges, we are awarding a single 4,000 Bright Dust pile.
Thus, the 75 needed is NOT all but NEARLY ALL that will be available. Thus, not doing a few will have NO BEARING on the final large reward.
And brightdust IS STILL AVAILABLE to everyone. Maybe not from this ONE CHALLENGE, but from other sources.

Should have been complete 70 challenges. That would have been more fair and balanced. This is just another shady way of manipulating peoples trust multiple ways. It’s very sad since I do like this game. Why do the games and franchises I like ruin enjoyment of them so much recently? 😞 “So this is how fun dies? In a thunderous applause.”

How is 70 really any noticeably different than 75? Most of these “challenges” have been an absolute breeze to complete. Others require a bit more work. And some are just plain for the dedicated. There will be plenty of them to hit 75 without necessarily being a no-lifer at this game. Even if you don’t do the ones for high-end activities (i.e. GM nightfall, Trials....if it ever comes back, etc), there will be more than enough to complete for the 75 needed.

(And not everyone can find friends or people to carry them) Having it a bit lower means that the people who cant do the forced group ones, have to finish the rest. With having it a bit lower, it means multiple pathways of the number of challenges that have to be completed is more open and customizable for people, instead of being locked into ONLY one path. And just a bit lower at 70, not lower then that. It’s still an overall challenge.

I disagree. I see your point, which is why Bungie is giving us this buffer window for not having to complete all of them. However, in my opinion, they need/have to make these things challenging enough that it feels rewarding, and to allow for most aspects of the game to be included. Trust me, I’m not a fan of gambit by any stretch of the imagination but i plowed through it because I knew doing it was better/easier than me having to do a GM or winning rounds in Trials.

Which is in DIRECT contradiction to what that the Challenge referred to ACTUALLY says. Bungie has promised a LOT of things for Beyond LIght that ahem....LOST...something in translation when it actually landed in the game. So until Bungie confirms that its the wording of the actual challenge that is incorrect, I'm not BUYING that.
