I'm getting stomped with 5+ losses in a row via crucible. Its stupid that its become this bad. I know I'm not a very good player but with a good matchmaking algorithm I'd have at least a win loss ratio of 45/55 as a causal player. That's why call of duty gets more business than you in terms of pvp. You guys can't get your algorithm right and casual players suffer. Fix this already.

I agree would love to see Bungie show that they care about more than just the streamers I mean back when this was a major issue trials was not/was broken every weekend so now that it "fixed" let the streams go there to play and leave the rest of us to have fun I mean that is the point of playing a game no?

stop playing that garbage playlist destiny pvp is and always will be garbage bungie does not care for players other than streamers who mainly play pvp and whales stop buying the seasons pve literally funds the game and all that money gets put back into pvp

Yea that’s a hard no for 6v6 I’d like to actually be able to register damage instead of waiting 15 minutes in queue for a lobby with an average player spread of 6,000 miles How about some PROPER team balancing Right now bungie literally persecutes good players by giving the #1 player in a lobby the #8-12 players to carry against the #2-7 players Sucks for the good player who has to sweat their nuts off because their teamates are nothing but orb generators for the enemy And sucks for players 8-12 (you in this case maybe?) Because every single player on the enemy team is better than them. Good old playground team balancing of 2 3 5 7 9 11 Vs 1 4 6 8 10 12 Makes it so #1 doesn’t have to hard carry and #8-12 actually have SOME equal opponents

6 通の返信No thanks. Bungie persecutes hardcore players enough already by matching people like you on my team.

1 返信skill based matchmaking was a LOT more fun than now sides it should always be a blend of connection and skill in the matchmaking algorithms also separate pugs from premades or just add a 'solo q only' mode for pvp
-
Hell no, why the hell would i want to fight someone with the exact same level of skill as me, rocking an Adept Igneous because they got rewarded for not playing the game while those of us who do, get shit on by Bungie's misplaced RNG and due diligence. Fix the loot systems that are falling apart piece by piece before considering Skill Based Matchmaking, which i would like to see back btw.

While I agree that crucible is straight dog water right now. I dont think sbmm is the problem. I'm absolute shit in the crucible. I think it's a balancing issue. Every match is a damn sweat fest. Dudes doing nothing but sliding around with shotguns. Or jotun shots from across the map. It's not a fun experience if you aren't a try hard.

TheArtistにより編集済み: 3/16/2021 2:06:56 PMIts why I stopped playing Crucible. Going from one rofl-stomp to another is not my idea of fun. Regardless of which side of the blowout you're on. Iron Banner is embarrassingly bad. One former poster here did looked at 50 consecutive IB matches....and the mercy rate was 25%. And that was WITH SBMM. Combine the Lockdown mechanic AND CBMM...I can only imagine what its like now.....
-
Paradox of D2 PvP community, the "sweats"/ wannabe Pro players wanted CBMM, but now a lot of them crying about trials to be more viable for casuals. I mean I am 100% with you, now you have to sweat your ass off as average or worse PvP player for not getting stomped. I mean none liking to be perma in revive screen. And those "pro" players arent "tryharding", yeah indeed they just having fun stomping pubs with 120s and FW. 100% SBMM needed, CBMM did nothing cuz its fking P2P.
-
Long queue, connection problems, more lag than even currently, can't play with skill-mismatched friends... And I'm not even in the top 10%, most likely, so those problems are even more exasperated for those better than me. Discrimination isn't the answer, especially when the primary problem is team balancing, not matchmaking.

29 通の返信Nah, those 10 minute match searches were terrible. Games are pretty balanced now. Every other game is a stomp but when SBMM was a thing it was every game. It only benefited stacks and terrible players who only played for the pinnacle anyways. It’s better this way. I can actually use randoms guns and bows for fun. Every now and then I’ll get a match with Stasis/Shotgun/120 HC spammers and have to use my meta-counter loadout. But other than that it’s pretty fun. You can always leave the match if it frustrates you that much, who cares what people think. Just enjoy the game at your own pace.

2 通の返信I’m with you on this, coming up against people who play PVP like their life depends on it simply isn’t fun. When sbmm was a thing it made it much more tolerable.

I think rather than worrying about matchmaking, they need to do something to re-engage the casual player base and get them back into the crucible. Matchmaking wouldn’t be so horrendous if there were more casual players engaging in crucible activities. For going on two years, there’s been these push pull meta shifts, dramatic changes to matchmaking practices etc. In that time, we’ve seen crucible player counts dip repeatedly, and we haven’t really seen them come back. So as the average/below average players leave, this further condenses the player population into above average/highly skilled players. In my mind, if something can be done to rebuild the crucible player base and re-engage the casuals, I think we’d be in a dramatic better situation overall. Question is, how do you accomplish that... I think the new rank up reward system is a step in the right direction, but it’s not enough. The rewards therein aren’t anything that can’t be gained from a few hours of grinding nightfalls. Instead of shitting on each other (u mad cos u suck/u no want change cos u sweat), we should be having productive discussions on what will make them game better for EVERYONE.

18 通の返信You have a W/L of 43.4%, just like 99.9% of players are 40-60%. Quit pushing false narratives to get SBMM re-enabled at the expense of PvP players who actually play it daily so you can have an easier time with your 3 matches a week for the pinnacle rewards.

20 通の返信Freakにより編集済み: 3/15/2021 11:54:05 PMLoL no. You already have team Balancing ruining every game. That in itself is a FORM of SBMM. And it’s a completely broken algorithm. That’s why every game is so lopsided. We never had this the last time they turned SBMM off. Why turn it on in 6’s at all? We’re not playing for anything. Horrid queue times and laggy azz matches in a non competitive cheese filled game like D2? All so little Timmy can feel better about himself? Go ask CoD how they liked SBMM. They literally blew up Activision over it. All this so you feel like you’re better than you are. Especially just for 3 games a week. Some of us actually play pvp daily. You’re just passing through. Get your pinnacles and get back to PvE. And I only say that because it’s a statistical fact that those who don’t play a lot now didn’t play a lot when PvP had SBMM enabled for years!! You’re always getting your gear then dipping. No matter what. And that’s fine. But the rules shouldn’t be catered to you when you’re barely going to play anyway. No matter the mm settings. I get my ass kicked with the best of them. It doesn’t make me want to cry for Sb games. Get over yourself and analyze what you’re doing wrong and how you improve your own gameplay. Or keep blaming MM for your shortcomings.
