How is it, you are 50 light level above recommended and still get gang -blam!- by 30 ads?
I don't want to hear get gud. I want a logical answer that actually makes sense.
yes, recovery and resiliance are mid 80's. yes, I have the right mods on.
Harbenger mission solo

yasselfockerにより編集済み: 3/10/2021 1:43:55 AMFor things like Nightalls and exotic quests enemies are scale to us and how difficulty they want the mission to be. Level doesn't make a difference once you exceed the light cap. So yeah if you're 1320 with your artifact and you go into a 1270 Nightfall the enemies are going to hit you the same they would if you were 1290.

Facelaussにより編集済み: 3/9/2021 8:35:32 PMLevel does NOT give you an advantage. You can be equal or lower than enemies, you can never actually be higher light than an enemy due to scaling. Also tips* Recov @ 100 it’s a huge boost, even compared to 80 & 90 Resilience doesn’t matter unless you are a Titan for the barrier Protective light mod, if you have it (void armor only)

2 通の返信Resilience doesn’t really do much for pve. You’re better off investing on mobility and recovery for pve. Avoiding damage is more efficient in terms of defense, as you don’t have to heal up, and it also helps with offense. Maybe use the mod that heals you on orb pickup and have the one that charges you with light on orb pickup. It enables you to always pick them up even at full super. Also for some activities they deliberately do some shady stuff to make it hard regardless of level. Cause they are lazy.

1 返信
You just want to 1-shot everything

Game is easy as f already...

Git gud
Just some of the responses to your question you're likely to be given by the community, now that we are ahead of the salt, let me say: you're thinking of D2 as an mmorpg, in a true mmorpg environment when you go back to the starting zones you played as a rookie 20 lvls later, your basic attacks would be enough to make it through, after all you have grown stronger with skills and gear all this doesn't make much sense in a game like Destiny at 1st, but if you got idk, say Anarchy during the time it was introduced, as new D2 content was released you already had a strong asset in your arsenal to use, see the difference now?? Your strengths come with the weapons(and armor since D2's stats exist within armor gear) you adquired through gameplay and not your character per se, cause Destiny is a shared world looter shooter, not an mmorpg 😉 Now that you're aware of D2 not being a mmorpg, you should also think of D2 as a videogame wich lifespan depends on the community and the people that actually plays the game only, so if you were Bungie how would you make players to stick around for longer and constantly?? You make all the endgame content 30 levels above the highest level you will achieve without the artifact and have the players grind for enough artifact levels to make said endgame activities slightly less difficult to complete the more artificial, mean, artifact(hehe) levels you grind. Then you repeat this season by season and let the community get on board your disguised hamster wheel and fight other players over D2's content being a park walk for the 24/7 players vs the my light level should matter ones, season all this with some sweet eververse cosmetics and serve with a fornite seasonal model and accompany with some flashing teasers of new content and voilá, the Bungo recipe. Sorry about the long thread, now you can make your own conclusions over if this power grind for nothing would ever change and if it worths your time and you should care about it and keep complaining, or not.

2 通の返信The artificial treadmill running of the fake pursuit of digital power to get an arbitrary, larger number by your name is laid bare. The truth is...
You were never really getting any more powerful than you were before.
-
1 返信Your power level only matters when you're below or at the content's level, you gain no bonuses by passing that threshold.
-
30 enemies is 30 enemies.....that should always get you screwed unless you have something like a Well or Arc Conductor along with armor damage resists. Don't know what the hell you're expecting. Even if power advantage gave an actual serious advantage that'd still seriously hurt....

Apexにより編集済み: 3/8/2021 9:38:55 PMBecause there's such a thing as limiting overpowered-ness. It's how the first day raid cap or the light difference in iron banana works. Same thing applies to a mission that isn't meant to be a walk in the park. Additional light above the recommended doesn't stack to make you invincible. It's a 3 person activity that requires some amount of skill or strategy to accomplish. The fact that you're doing it solo only means that instead of having 2 meat shields around you, all ads focus on you. Less outgoing damage to enemies, more incoming to yourself.
-
This is because it’s Harbinger, and not meant to be easy. The other dungeons are the same way. Watch videos, work on your loadout, practice your strategy. In the end it is not that hard to solo it. Except for when there are dual centurions as bosses. I have not been able to do that one yet...
-
Even someone with 100+ Resilience and Recovery would struggle with that amount of incoming fire. For every additional critter beyond the first that is shooting at you, and maybe even hitting you, you are being suppressed, and your health recovery is not triggering. It’s not complex math when you consider a 30:1 scenario. Guardians are not really supposed to be capable of surviving those odds alone. That’s why it is considered a “challenge” activity.
-
IAGNRGにより編集済み: 3/8/2021 5:15:09 PMLight level is capped at the recommended light, practically. Also, they probably cap you at a level slightly below the enemies. This is the case in some missions, so that you are always under leveled and at a disadvantage, for challenge purposes.
-
1 返信Because we don’t get any LL bonus above the recommended light level 🤷🏻♂️. Been like that forever. They claim it’s so we aren’t OP and just steam rolling content.

-
5 通の返信Endgame activities have an internal modifier that increases difficulty. For example, for general gameplay, you see increasing benefit being up to 50 levels above the enemy, however, for raids, this is reduced to 20 levels above. What this means is that being 1270 or 1300 on the Taniks encounter will result in the same damage output as both are 20 levels above 1250. For Harbinger, there is a similar modifier that makes enemies more difficult, even if you are overleveled. I do not know exactly what the modifier is, however, it is worth noting that Presage essentially puts you 10 levels below, even if you are overleveled. Harbinger is probably similar.

When your above level for content it doesn't mean it becomes easy. It's how they can keep content relevant for the entire life of the game. If we could easily go thru content just because we're high level loot drop tables would have to be adjusted accordingly and things like patrols, public events, and lost sectors would become even more useless cause they wouldn't drop anything potentially useful. With the way it is now a random dreg still has an incredibly rare chance to drop an exotic.

3 通の返信The logical answer that makes sense is because there are 30 of them and one of you. The only person able to pull off a 30 v 1 victory is John Wick. I stand corrected, John Wick and Hugh Hefner.
