They just need to do a tad bit more damage to clean up Minor enemies.

14 通の返信Bygones was probably the only great 390 because of it being able to roll with damage booster. If I’m correct, the only other 390s with a damage booster is Jian-7 with Swashbuckler and Last Perdition with Killclip but those are both world drops and are basically impossible to get.

4 通の返信If you get lucky, give this one a try https://www.light.gg/db/items/4156253727/the-third-axiom/ I slap on minor spec with it to help. Can have alot of good rolls. Have a chance of getting on from strikes.

3 通の返信Now that I think about it, a lot of primaries need PvE damage buffs. Scouts across the board, some autos, pulse rifles. As I recall from Destiny 1 most primaries could erase a low mob, like Dregs and Psions, with a single clean precision shot. A lot of primaries don't seem to do that any more. Weird.

6 通の返信Now that we are here. We might as well explore this topic. I'm curious peeps. I've been gaming since the 70's. I've been around. And since this topic has been brought up. Let's talk about gun damage. It's like a thought experiment. What do you think about a gun system in games so balanced that everything you use gives out almost exactly the same damage output?... As a thought experiment, let's pretend that this is possible. We can try to suspend our disbelief for now or the impossibility of this task and pretend that we have something like this in our technology. Imagine a game with different gun types, and different gun archetypes, different gun designs, different gun sound effects, different shapes, looks, color, different names, etcetera, etcetera. But when you use any of them, they'll all have the same damage output no matter what gun you chose. The game is so balanced that whatever you choose to use, it feels so balanced your damage output on a particular enemy is always the same as using any other guns. The only difference is the weapon slot. Let's say in the primary slot, when you use a pulse rifle. It would take the same amount damage to use a pulse rifle as it is when using a scout or and vice versa. Or all pulse rifles of different archetypes would have the same output as the rest of the pulse rifles. Same with different scout archetypes, auto rifles, hand cannons, etc. Pretend that the game is so balanced that whatever you choose among this guns, your output would be exactly the same! Would you love having this in a game?... Would you play this game, and if you do, would you be satisfied?...Would you be happy with a system so balanced it doesn't matter what gun you use?... ... I thought so. That is a thought experiment about "Power Creep!" This will never happen in videogames unless the game will only make one type of gun in Primary, one type of gun in Special, and one type of gun in Heavy. But where is the fun in that?... Here lies the rub. That is a dilemma that every studio faces when making videogames nowadays. "POWERCREEP" is never an issue because the devs of any game knows that they are selling powercreep to keep everyone playing their game interested in the game! If power is the selling point, then they'll always use this as a game system to fuel that thirst. The real issue now is making a game where powercreep is manageable and designing a game from the very beginning where powercreep can be manage accordingly without the gamers knowing it or inconveniencing them in the process, keeping the game still enjoyable in the process. Game design is key from the very start. Powercreep is the fuel of these games and powercreep is also the issue if the said game was poorly designed and was left unchecked from the very beginning of game conception. This is not an argument. It's just my own opinion after gaming for so many years. It's a subject that may bring out interesting conversations from all of us. Feel free to contribute. Peace, Out!

9 通の返信Pulses in general are pretty abysmal in PvE. Like excluding Outbreak and maybe Graviton Lance if we’re being generous, they are all mega garbage. They just all tickle and bring nothing in return. Like ARs, Sidearms, and SMGs have the power but have limited ranges of effectiveness. Scouts and Bows aren’t exactly melting machines but have the safety of range. Pulses just kinda sit in the middle and get the worst of both worlds—with low damage but not enough range to really justify playing incredibly passively with them. They need to be looked at.

3 通の返信cycofreak3により編集済み: 3/7/2021 6:54:29 AM120rpm hand canons need love in PvE as well. The one and only bottom dollar I have is subsistence/rampage and it actually feels fun in PvP but sucks in PvE cause i can't kill shit, especially in endgame content.

2 通の返信The best primary I have is a False Promises with Subsistence and Rampage. It's the only primary I fall back on when a specific build isn't required.

11 通の返信JazzyPaladin477により編集済み: 3/5/2021 9:33:09 PMYes please. Definitely the most satisfying archetype to use on console. I know Aggressive’s technically have better ttk and range stats but 390s just seem to be more effective at landing full burst at greater ranges. Loved my moving target/zen moment last perdition, but alas she fell to the great Luke-setting. The 450’s were a nice compromise between the two, truly the goat pulses.

5 通の返信My favorite pulse rifle type! I think pulse rifles in general are lagging behind other weapon types
