Bungie, here's an idea I came upwith for another set of darkness subclasses.
Hey Bungie, I thought up a set of Darkness subclasses for yall to look into. I know that you probably have the new ones set in stone but these are just ideas to bounce off you. This is just one darkness "element", so a version for each actual class. Here goes: Overall subclass name would be something death themed.
The grenade could be
1) A small tracking minion that targets one thing and damages overtime, and does a +5 second on its kill for its duration
2) Similar to the Stasis' Duskfield except instead of pulling everything in the initial bubble it slows and damages them and pops after a moment for a increase range of damage. The grenade does DOT.
3) A Shrapnel type grenade that does and bone explosion to keep with the death theme.
Warlock: Necromancer (Im sure this is too obvious considering the names for the new Stasis sublasses.)
- Melee fires a bone spike with moderate tracking.
- Rift does a bone explosion for AOE damage with no DOT but with a slowing effect.
- Super you raise 3 minions that are either ranged and stick around you, melee with shields (these would stick close to you an defend you, and/or single large sword melee that hunt down enemies. These are options or trees if you do trees for them.
Titan: Death Knight (again, fairly obvious where I'm going with this.)
- Melee does a punch that does basic melee damage but at a slight range of and small explosion (like 1-2 meters)
- Barrier puts a pulse of slowing in front of it with some DOT.
- Super is becoming a Death Knight (Shocker) wielding a glowing green weapon option based on a tree or if you are planning a single type for them. Options would be a large two handed claymore with higher with splash damage for heavy attacks and a spinning channel that consumes energy, a one handed sword and shield that you can use to defend with or bash with, or two hand axes with a higher attack speed that can be thrown.
Hunter: Reaper
- Melee is a thrown bone dagger that poisons for DOT along with initial damage.
- Dodge is a blink that gives a DOT effect to the equipped weapon, swapping removes the buff. (The "dodge" for all darkness subclasses should be a blink. I think it is a waste of an exotic option to add it to darkness specific subclasses for the helm.)
- Super is similar to the Spectral Blades except you have a longer range blink when dodging and kills either become bone explosions that do high damage, DOT, or an effect.
